This performance has a special place in my heart, the song is beautiful, Moa playing guitar is epic, Su's singing like a bird but... Moa stole the show. She was stunning.

Babymetal US tour dates confirmed, Houston 13th, my birthday. Couldn't be happier.

Awesome! Many fans do take Starlight, and this specific performance of Shine to be a tribute to Mikio. I mean, the guitar center piece and lyrics and all...

Excellent thanks, and thank you for reading my comment and especially choosing this particular performance. Most fans do consider the Trilogy of Lights to be an homage or tribute to Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka (RIP) who died after falling from an observation platform where he had been stargazing. The lyrics of 'Starlight' are just so fitting and then this performance with just Su, Moa and the acoustic guitar only lend weight to the theory. Of course that has never been confirmed or denied and there are a few who don't think it is true, but it is hard to believe there isn't something in it - and they don't do performances like this by accident even if they don't explain themselves. They have only played the full Trilogy in order one time - that was at Legend Metal Galaxy in January 2020.

My favorite performance of my favorite song. And you are right, it's a special performance and I feel like Moa and Su are basically performing to each other, and then walking off together.

My favorite BABYMETAL song Supposedly Moa actually provided the guitar instrumentals for this (yes she can play guitar) but for choreography purposes her part was backtracked. The acoustic guitar onstage may or may not be one of Mikio's actual acoustic guitars.
