Hey y'all, sorry to have to do this. Fury started getting sick again last night, and I'm wiped. The tl;dr of this is that he's relapsed a bit and is now on meds, but he needs to be monitored, and we haven't slept. More details are below.

A couple week ago, he went into the hospital after getting sick for two days straight. I'll spare you the gross details, but it was bad. After several days of back and forth to the hospital and my regular vet, and every test we could run, it was determined that he has either Inflammatory Bowel Disease or a type of cancer. The scans lean more toward IBD, thankfully.

The treatment for either possibility is the same, though, so he's been started on steroids for management. What the tests don't tell us is whether or not this is a flaring version of the disease, or a constant one. To figure it out, my vet said to slowly wean him off the steroids and see how he does. He's been off the steroids for almost 48 hours, and now he's getting sick again. So we have our answer.

The good news is, I'm equipped to help him this time, with the meds he needs already here. I've given him the steroid and an anti-nauseant, so that should settle him down. We were prepared for this, thankfully.

Now that he's had the meds, though, he has to be monitored for 6-8 hours, which means I'll need to be with him for that amount of time. That, coupled with the exhaustion of being up all night with him, makes a live event just not feasible today.

I'm rescheduling the update for Sunday, September 28th at 10:30am EDT instead.
