Monthly Update - February 2023 - In a New Format!

This month's update was recorded live on Discord on Saturday, February 18th. We had a bit of an interruption toward the end of the update, when my zoo felt the need to make an appearance, and I decided to leave their drama in the final update, uncut and as it was when it happened. I hope you enjoy this small peek behind the curtain.

After the update (and the kitty drama), we hung up and chatted for quite some time. It was a lot of fun. A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, and to my Mods for being there and helping out!

I've also used a bit of a different format this month for the update, as it's a video instead of an audio. I felt it was only right for the kitties to make an actual appearance, since a couple of them are in the update itself.

There was a lot to cover in this update, including:

And more! I crammed a lot of stuff into that 29-ish-minute update, so be sure to check it out.

Here are the important new links that are mentioned in the update:

Here are the familiar links, just in case you're looking for them:

I'll see you all next month!

Thank you for this answer will definetly try to make a habbit out of it to share my thoughts regardless of release Date. This little inside into patreon analytics is very interesting and quite "disappointing" considering what this side is made for (in general for content creators not just in the nsfw section) youd Think there would be a reliable way to gauge different metrics.

No need to apologize for a wall of text! I love reading them. So please, be as “rambly” as you’d like! 😊😊 Patreon’s system for analytics isn’t detailed enough to give me an overly clear picture of what’s going on with my listeners and how they’re enjoying the content. For example, a post’s analytics will tell me that it has 0 views, but there are 5 likes on it, and I’ve received a message telling me how much someone liked it or didn’t like it, with details that let me know they’ve actually listened. If the post has no views, how did that person listen, and how did those people like the post? So the way Patreon measures “engagement” from an analytics standpoint isn’t always helpful to me. I hope that makes sense. I do find that it’s more common for people to send me messages about what they *didn’t* like in my content, versus what they do, and yes, it can get aggressive. It’s why I don’t have an anonymous form anymore. This makes me appreciate positive feedback so much more. In terms of leaving comments, feedback doesn’t have to be long and detailed to be effective. Even just commenting emojis tells me that you listened to the content and enjoyed it. That’s awesome. If you want to be more detailed, I love hearing about the parts of the story that you liked, or how things make you feel emotionally. I love it when people comment on the immersion of the sound effects, or the character I’m portraying. But all of that is totally up to you. Like I said, just a simple comment to let me know you listened and liked it is amazing. When more people do that, it not only helps me determine what y’all like and where to focus my creative energies, but it does feel good to me as a performer. It’s like a “thumbs up” or “job well done” in an IRL situation. It doesn’t have to be long and complicated to mean something. It’s an acknowledgement that you like what I’ve done. To me, that’s one of the best feelings there is. When I talk about this stuff, I try to keep it analytical, to keep it focused on the numbers and how it helps me with future content, because that’s the part I prefer to focus on. But the other part of that, the part that I don’t tend to focus on as much, is that I’m a performer, a creator, and I put a lot of time and effort into what I make. It’s motivating to receive comments on my work. This is the part I don’t emphasize because I know people aren’t always comfortable commenting. And that’s totally fine. I’m just giving a point of view that I don’t express very often. It’s not uncommon for me to receive the odd comment here or there on audios that are months, sometimes years, old, and I love that. It means people are still engaging with my catalogue, looking through my older work, which means they like what I do. So if you do listen to an audio that’s been out for a while and want to say something about it, please, go for it! Chances are, you’ll make my day! This was a really long-winded response, but I hope it gives you an idea of where I’m coming from. Thank you for wanting to help, and for asking these questions! 💜💜💜

All the best to you and ur kitties. Medical stuff with pets always sucks Also sorry for the following wall of text i got a bit rambly but dont know how to cut it down lol. I wasnt aware patreon doesnt make it easier to gauge what is popular or not i was of the assumption that especially by play numbers it would be easier to gauge whats wanted. I also find it weird that you get "negative" Feedback on the not so popular tags, why not just not listen it? It sounded like you got "agressive" negative Feedback there hope that wasnt the case. I dont know if no written Feedback disappoints you when you release stuff and if it does please let us know because im sure a bunch of people would start to comment if they know it means more to you. Personally i dont like to just randomly comment "thanks for posting" or meaningless stuff like this like on youtube to feed the algorythm, so i usually dont comment because when i get around to listening its most of the times days later but if thats not an issue for you and you still can make use of late Feedback i would for sure try to leave Feedback once i listened to it. Also what kind of Feedback are you looking for in comments? I assume its not much use if it just boils down to "great audio as usual". Do you want Feedback on the script of on the Editing style, your pacing while talking, ur sfx use or just broad Feedback?
