the triumphant ogre-fellers
Added 2025-03-16 17:15:58 +0000 UTCA rite of passage for some, a sport for others. Ogre-felling is a longstanding tradition among troll women whose territories overlap with their larger cousins.
it's not about hurting or killing the ogre, of course. just proving that you can take one down. hunts are held when male ogres are in their musth (elephant rut) and a little extra stupid. you only want to go after young bachelors; once they get to a certain age they're too familiar with what you're doing to make it a real challenge.
and of course what you do with your ogre before letting him go is your business. just be sure to pack a big bottle of oil.
