LETTERS TO EVENT TIER SUPPORTERS:
Dear Event Supporters,
Thank you so much for going the extra mile to support me through the event tier. I truly appreciate it.
I wanted to address a concern about the past few contest events. There were signs that the results may have been manipulated—most likely through VPN use to bypass the one-vote-per-person rule.
To explain why I suspect this: the final vote count reached around 160 votes, but I currently have fewer than 50 active supporters in the event tier. That’s a clear sign that someone may have used a VPN or other method to cast multiple votes using different IP addresses.
While I understand the excitement to support your favorite character, this kind of manipulation isn’t fair to other supporters—and it creates extra stress and technical issues for me to manage.
Eventually, I do plan to build a more secure system by integrating the Patreon API with my WordPress site, so that each supporter is verified and only able to vote once. But that’s a big project on its own—and if I shift my attention to building that system now, it’ll sidetrack me from the main focus: Gaizellic Island Adventure.
As you may have seen from the pinned post, I’ve been hard at work on this new interactive gallery and mini-game for event-tier supporters. Game development takes full commitment and focus, and I want to deliver the best experience possible—without getting bogged down by contest-related issues.
So I kindly ask for your help: please don’t use VPNs or try to bypass the voting system. We’re all here to have fun, and your favorite guy will appear in the Gaizellic Adventure game eventually—whether he wins the contest or not.
Let’s keep it fair, supportive, and fun for everyone. Thanks again for being part of this journey, and for helping me stay focused on bringing Gaizellic Island Adventure to life.
