I had a dream as a kid-- being covered in Dalmatian puppies. This will do.
I used to have hundreds of Dalmatian collectibles. Many have been offloaded. These are the remainders. If I had a younger relative who was totally into spotted dogs, I might have handed them over instead of getting naked and covering myself in stuffed puppies.
Here's the real thing of note. When I get really excited about something, I go wild-eyed. One eye gets larger than the other. (My wild eyes pop up in lots of post-show photos. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.)
Sometimes, we collect things because they give us a little dopamine hit. (This is why I've spent a bit of cash on in-game purchases for the Jurassic World Alive game. Dopamine!) Other collections have memories attached. (My John Mayer t-shirt collection is full of memories.)
The older I get, the more I try to collect things that really mean something to me.
I'm smiling because I'm covered in puppies, but I'm excited about something else in this photo. My right hand is squeaking a Disney Two-Tone toy from the late '90s. Buster has a real thing for noisy, furry toys. Mr. Snapper was trying to call off the actual dog while I was encouraging tomfoolery.
You'll never unsee the wild eyes.
