Shot in the home studio, but not in my actual home studio. That room is full of costumes that need to be put away and in-progress projects. The room isn't quite deep enough for shooting and dancing. At least, not how I have it set up right now.
We had roughly thirty minutes between the time the camera arrived and shooting to figure out how to make it work. The video work will be cleaner after November's video. I may still see about renting the neighborhood dance studio for more space. I just have a lot of equipment to take to have great lighting.
I had my hair and makeup done for a photo shoot earlier in the day. It's very rare for rehearsals to look like this.
For an act I've performed fairly recently, I usually run it once a day for the week leading up to the booked gig. I do one or two dress rehearsals on the day of show, but I skip the pasties (and panties in some cases). It all depends on the act.
I haven't performed this act since last year, I think. I try to remember choreography through muscle memory. I've been known to watch old videos to pick up the things I've missed. I ran this once before getting dressed.
This costume used to have a long-line bra instead of the corset and bra combination. It wasn't the perfect color, and it wasn't fancy enough for my liking. I replaced it with these pieces and sold it. I just need to fancy up these panties a bit more.
I think I've been doing this one since 2011!
