Disaster!
Added 2023-10-22 23:50:33 +0000 UTCToday, while finishing what I thought were final updates before building TESTv2, my computer was showing signs of slowing down since I'd had it running for a few days without a reboot.
I decided a reboot was in order, so I saved the work I was doing in Callie's Life, and exited out of RPG Maker. Everything seemed fine, but after I rebooted the computer, I was getting errors when trying to load the game again.
The main .json files in the data folder had been corrupted. Unfortunately the ones that were wiped out were the ones that I had been updating extensively over the past 2-3 days basically wiping out all the work I'd done this past week.
The most recent backup were for the TESTv1 files from the backup I did after building it. Fortunately none of the map files appear to have been affected, which is good. But this past week I had made major updates to what RPG Maker calls Common Events. I'm going to have to redo all of those changes including homework, laptop use expansion, School paddlings, and The Dinnertime sequence during Callie's grounding.
This is going to force me to push back the build release a few days. Fortunately I have a lot of notes, so it hopefully won't take me as long to rebuild it, but it's very tedious work in some cases. :(
