What have I gotten myself into?

I'm fine. October has been insanely busy.

First, I finished up a Tardis corset and panel skirt for a client. I don't typically do things at the last minute, but the corset zipper shipped to my old address. The zipper never arrived so I had to find a late replacement. 

Then, I had an insane weekend of travel. I attended a wedding on a Friday night about a week and a half ago. (I made the bride's dress and I was her first burlesque instructor.) I caught my first flight on the way to Tucson at 6:40am the next morning. I was going to be in Tucson for about 24 hours to perform in the festival. (Thanks to you guys for helping me get to Tucson!)

There was a call for a volunteer to get bumped off the flight and take one an hour later. Compensation: travel vouchers. I'm performing at the Freezing Tassel (Alaska) Burlesque Festival in March and I hope to get into the Hawaii Burlesque Festival next year, so I could use those vouchers.

I flew from Dallas to Denver to Los Angeles to Tucson on Saturday. I performed Saturday night and headed from Tucson to Phoenix to catch a flight back to Dallas at 7:50am. Just one flight to get home. I was tired of flying.

I had to finish up another commissioned piece and rhinestone my Greedo jumpsuit over the past week. I shot in the jumpsuit over the weekend. I have to add more rhinestones and design the headpiece so I have the funky ears and feelers.

But the photoshoot Saturday night was incredible. I shot with La Photographie of Nashville and Madison Hurley Fuentes of Hot Springs while they were both in Dallas. Madison made the attached secret Boomerang during the shoot. It's only being shared with you. I can't wait to see the photos.

I have one more commission to wrap up this week. I have to do some touch-ups on Poison Ivy before she appears in Dallas on November 4th.

I'm still working on finding the new normal. :)
