This photo shot by PhotoJenInc. in Burbank. The costume wasn't done yet. The air conditioning was out in my Mitsubishi and it was summer. My hair was melting. I couldn't find the right lip color. This act was still very new so I was a bit awkward with it.
I loved this costume and this act. Still do but I rarely perform it. I learned so much making the costume that I wanted to rebuild it with the lessons learned while making it. Of course, by the time a costume is done there are so many hours and dollars invested that I don't want to redo everything that could be redone. The lessons always fold into the next project.
On the new costume for competition that I'm not allowed to share yet, I learned a lesson BEFORE the costume piece was finished. HOLY SHIT! I was going to use magnets for something but it wasn't working. I set down the costume before getting demonstrative and walked away. I worked out another solution while watching television and my solution actually worked.
Sometimes the simplest stuff works best.
I can't wait to show this new project to you. Thank you for your support. Bathtub video coming tomorrow for you big supporters. :)
