9/3 Update - Let's Try Out A Patreon Q&A!

Hey hey, everybody!  I wanted to pop in today to give you folks a few updates, and I figured while I'm here, why not open the floor to some open questions, too?  If you have anything you wanna ask, whether it's about production processes, games I've been playing (I finally got to play games again this week!), anything really - drop it in a reply to this post, and next week I'll put out a little video answering all of 'em.  If you do have questions, make sure to leave them by...let's say the 9/7, I'll record the video (or audio, whatever it is) that week.  Fair warning, if it's "are you going to review X?" The answer is "probably, but I have no idea when!"

I'll probably toss said video up on the TGB Live channel, maybe I'll let folks know it's there if this is a thing that you all seem interested in and would like me to continue.  I wanna keep trying to provide a bit of extra "value" given how generous you've been, and how much of what I'm offering can boil down to..."hey here's the video early, you're awesome."  I'll always be on a quest to provide more.

Anyway, update time!

Some of you will have heard some of these plans before, but since there are a lot of new folks this last month, I'm gonna repeat 'em!  The next video (keep it a secret) is Sonic Adventure: A game I've never been fond of, but a game that I decided to force myself to play with fresh eyes, as if for the first time, without falling into the trap of equating Sonic games purely to speed, as so many modern players do.  I'm really excited for this video, so excited in fact that my excitement was what made me realize I wasn't excited to make that Ghost of Tsushima video, hence why I canned that one for the time being!  After SA1, we'll loop back to Crack in Time, and then I've got a few possibilities for the video after Crack in Time.

Once we get closer to CiT's release, I'll try to set up a poll or something and get an idea of which you guys would prefer; I want to integrate the Patreon fam's thoughts as well as the general YT Community tab (and my own feelings of course) together in some way to maybe figure out either what video is NEXT after CiT, or what order I'll cover those games/topics in.  So to recap: SA1, then Crack in Time, then [We'll see], and then after those, probably in November or early December, will be a video about the R&C comics and the post-CiT spinoffs.  We probably won't get to Nexus until January, depending on the production pipeline - I'd like to hold firm to this alternating schedule, to start prepping the ship for when there's no Ratchet left to cover.  We're rapidly approaching that point, and naturally I've gotta focus on building the foundation so that we don't stall after Ratchet's caught up.

As an aside, to Golden Bolt Tier Patrons: I've got a few ideas for other bonuses for your support, one of which I'll be posting in the next couple weeks to you guys specifically.  I know there are a few of you that are new, and I wanna make it clear as soon as possible that the "Suggest a Topic" naturally isn't super feasible for me right now, given how long these projects take.  (I owe the OG Golden Bolt Tier Patron like 10 videos by now technically, it was an overzealous idea on my part lol.)  I've been working out a good way to replace that bonus, and I really think that a lot of you in that tier will love the idea I'm gonna bring your way soon.

I'll keep everybody posted, as I do want to sit down next week or the week after and revamp the Patreon a little bit, to remove the perks that I've simply been failing to provide.  I know that many of you will insist that the support doesn't need a perk, and I truly and deeply appreciate that - but like I said, I'm always going to try to make it as worth your while as possible, to show my appreciation even more.

So if you have any random Q&A questions, ask 'em below and we'll get this first little test going!

On a scale from 1 to Clank is a robot. How badly do you think Sony screwed over the many ps3 exclusives that they just shoved into stores and forgot about?

I think I've heard you answer this before, but how do you manage your time while producing these videos, and your method of avoiding (or handling) burnout?
