What's coming in 2020?

Hey folks!  If you didn't watch the update video that came out today, it's linked here for your convenience.  In the update video, I mentioned a new series I'm working on for 2020, and I'd like to share a little bit about it to get some feedback.  More info will come in the next month or two as I prepare the pilot episode, and you guys will get the first look at the pilot when that comes!

This series is going to, in a nutshell, focus on a very small slice of games (and maybe later movies, shows, etc.), highlighting specific levels, (cut)scenes, or areas to explore what it is about these things that are so effective.  Think of it as a contained analysis about a specific level - how the soundtrack and visuals highlight a specific feeling, or how they facilitate the game design, or how they highlight other facets of the game.  For example, the pilot will likely explore how strong Mario 64's castle exterior and Bob-Omb Battlefield are, and how they're a perfect introduction not only into the game, but into 3D gaming for everybody.  

My current plan is to come out with a whole miniature "season" of these videos, featuring various guests, as a way to discuss peoples' favorite levels and why they're beloved from a design standpoint.  Already, there are about 6-8 videos in the drafting phase!  I've discussed this idea a good bit with some friends, and I've noticed that they immediately have a ton of ideas for episodes in this series - that's a great sign!  To me, it means that such a compact focus works well, and that it encourages me to bring out the best (or perhaps worst!) in any game I discuss.  I'm sure you have some ideas for this too, and I'd love to hear them!  Let me know in a reply here, or on Discord in the Patron chat.  I only ask that you keep this idea a bit under wraps until the official reveal, so please contain the discussion of this to the Patron chats!
