Hello Horny People!
It's July already?! The time flies so frickin' fast it's hard to keep up.
Despite our little "radio silence" we're still, constantly pushing to make Komadori Inn, with little speed bumps with me falling ill for a couple of days (what I've said when revealing Tsubame-chan) and a short break in June to catch some sun. So what did we do, and what can you expect in the upcoming days?
Next Character Reveals
As expected, after drawing Tsubame Inagaki, SleplessMax took off with the creation of the last of the three main girls, and since it's been some time now since our last post, she's already here! She's ready! She's done and dusted!
So expect her reveal as soon as I'll manage to put together her Patreon posts.
Meanwhile, here's a little sneak peek!

What's more, our main character has also been brought to life, so you'll see him soon. As we announced in our plans, we want the portraits of both characters talking to each other to be displayed in "Komadori Inn", so our boy got his own graphic representation. But don't worry, we realize that male characters may be of less interest to you, so we don't expect a lively response to him. 😅
Work, work, work
When I previously gave some dates for the first milestones of "Komadori Inn", I was convinced that we would be able to share the first version of the gameplay with you much sooner. This plan was to provide a very raw build with 0 polishing, in the spirit of "collect feedback ASAP". However, after self-testing, we came to the conclusion that it would only make sense if we could be next to you during the tests and answer your questions - what is planned, what does not work yet, and what will not be in the finished product at all. Otherwise, some of you would probably think that we're just making a very low-quality game, and we really don't want that.
So the last few weeks have been just work, work and more work. We don't see this as a delay in the project, we just had to deal with things we wanted to save for last. And honestly? Looking at the polished parts of the game gives us a huge motivational kick, so it's a huge plus on our side.
So for the last couple of weeks we were polishing EVERYTHING that has to do with one of the main parts of the game, that is - working your shift at the front desk of Komadori Inn:
- gameplay mechanics
- control system (so everything above works with keyboard, gamepad and mouse)
- tutorial
- sound effects
- music
- interface

After each shift you get a summary on how you did.
What's important about this work is that it wasn't just done for this one part of the game, but for the rest of it as well, so we've already done a huge piece needed for its final release.
So what about the first alpha build? Well... It'll be soon? Don't want to give any specific dates again, so nobody will be disappointed, but it feels like it's a matter of days, maybe two weeks for everything to be made "to a T".
