I'm catching up. When I discovered this anime, I was struck by the fact that season 2 was coming out at the same time, so I was able to watch them back-to-back. I can't wait to see season 3 after the incredible season 2. All the characters are memorable in their own way, and it's fascinating to see such a high level of storytelling.

2025-09-12 01:18:16 +0000 UTCI like to think that Askeladd felt bad for Thorfinn because he took away from Thorfinn what he never had, a loving father. The fact that he resurrects the words of a man he killed in his final breaths tells me Thors words left a lasting impression on Askeladd. The parallels between Askeladd and Thors are so beautifully interwoven in this episode. Both of them were willing to lay down their lives for someone else, both were father figures to Thorfinn, both of them died in Thorfinns arms.
