2025-09-06 16:12:18 +0000 UTCim glad you love reigen and mobs relationship - i really do as well. theyre so cute and.... interesting? its a very unusual dynamic between "student" and "teacher" (because well, reigens not *really* his teacher, is he? lol) and i really love it. character dynamics are usually what i love most about stories, and this really hits for me. im still working on a mp100 tattoo that ill hopefully be getting! because i love both of these very very much. also, what did you think of the animation this episode? i think when i watched this the first time, i was absolutely gobsmacked by the fluidity and overall quality of it. the simple character designs really allow the animators to pull out all the stops in the animation itself, and its only getting better in seasons 2 and 3. i dont think ive seen a more gorgeous TV anime, ever. the last little bit with that cryptid worm in the mountains was a little short story mini chapter thing in the original manga, and they kept closer to the authors own drawing style for it - its really fun when you pay attention to it. the orignal author, "ONE", wasnt really an experienced or exceptionally skilled illustrator when he started mob psycho, so his drawings are usually pretty rough, but thats what makes them so fun! thats also why the drawing style for the mp100 anime is so unique - they kept a lot of the look of the original illustrations. one punch man for example, that was made by the same author, got a manga-remake from an INCREDIBLY talented manga author FIRST, and *then* got the anime adaptation, so it looks like a more conventionally cool-looking action anime! im so glad that they went with the wacky style for mob though. it fits so well! anyway sorry for this whole dissertation lmao i just really really love mob psycho and im glad youre having fun with it!
