These sounds effects though. This was a literal BRUTAL reminder of how horrible people could be treated back then.... that said, we are highly obsessed with this show and cannot put it down. Battle and brutality were prominent. You forget that as cool and hardcore as they seem all these guys are bad news. Still, I canβt help but like Thorkell because heβs such a big ham with crazy eyes.

2025-08-24 03:27:47 +0000 UTCYeah when Bjorn questions Askeladd it's more like "Hey man I'm just making sure you really think this is the best play" than outright insubordination like Thorgil has slowly been doing the last several episodes. Even during the Askeladd could speak english and Bjorn commented about being surprised too it came across as "I thought me and Askeladd we're best friends but apparently he doesn't feel as strongly" which is kind of sad in a way. Bjorn isn't a good person but I've always respected his loyalty to Askeladd and even enjoyed the crazy uncle role he filled in for Thorfinn during the few interactions we see with them.
