The VA doing Thorfinn's voice absolutely kills it going from childlike fear, sorrow to raw fury. Absolutely peak performance. And the whole situation is tragis, Thors' ideal is tested, but falls short. The scene with him and Askeladd after their duel is still hotly discussed, and it just becomes more interesting the further along the story you get.
