Haylee, I love that you picked up on the fact that Ed had "transformed" his soul into a Philosopher's Stone previously, back when he had to heal himself. Creating a Stone out of his own soul is something that he knew how to do, and I've seen so many people reacting to this and just not understanding how he's done it. Don't blame them, it happened only once many episodes ago, but it's nice to see that you remembered. Next episode is one of, if not the best one and I can't wait for it. Glad to see that you guys are enjoying it so much!
