well remember they were "trying" to force Marcoh to open the door as soon as they captured him ... Envy treatened and blackmailed him into opening the door and become a sacrifice willingly or he'll go kill everyone on the village he was hidding ... but Scar came in and thake him out of there before he actually agreed to open the door. Kimbley is the one im most curious about, they could have forced him or use him, but i guess they didn't becuase he actually agreed on helping them as their private detective xD maybe he was a candidate for them as a last time resource but since he's dead now they also cant use it anymore...

2025-06-24 14:06:46 +0000 UTCI've always loved the detail of Lan Fan's tear smearing the blood on Ling's cheek. Such a cool bit of animation that adds weight to the scene. I wonder why Father and the Homunculus never tried to get Marcoh to open the gate while he was their prisoner. Envy or Lust mentioned he was a candidate for sacrifice too. It's kind of weird that this plan has been in motion since Amestris was founded but they still don't have a ready amount of sacrifices. Maybe that's just how insanely difficult it is to survive opening the gate. It's also a bit too convenient that all the sacrifices know each other or can be connected to each other in some way. But maybe that also speaks to how rare it is for a person to be strong enough to be a sacrifice -- exceptional people do end up congregating together eventually.
