Love this episode, its surprisingly stressful and emotional as Anya realizes she cant just tell her adult that someone is drowning without any follow up questions about why she knows that.

But I noticed that when I watched the first chapter, that Loid thought she was 4, I was under the impression she is 2 years younger, thatβs why her development is so behind. Kids at that age have a large difference in learning just with 1 or 2 years of difference.

Anya is a year or so behind her classmates in age. That's why she is struggling with her grades. In the orphanage when Loid said he wanted a kid around a certain age Anya went up on her tip-toes so she looked bigger, and it's why she did the crossword, to trick Loid into thinking she is old enough for school.
