Considering we didn't have anything to cry over in the last episode you should have known that we would be a mess this episode. I loved the little fan service appearance of Luculia. Hearing about everyone's letter was great but we need to know more about who Erica is seeing! Thank you ladies for this incredible journey! I will be bingeing the series with you again shortly. 2025-05-06 16:11:50 +0000 UTCI've said many things about the characters of Violet Evergarden, so I'll talk about Dietfried now. He's such an interesting character to me. It makes complete sense to me why he is the way he is with Violet, even if I detest that he felt that way about her. She killed his men quickly and dispassionately, as if it were just a walk in the park for her. I'm sure every fiber in his being wanted to end her right then and there, but he decided to use the bane of his existence as a tool, just as she's been used her whole life prior to this as a tool. Then, there's the fact that she survived while his brother didn't, causing him to lash out even more at her. He then sees her actions on the train and begins to understand how much she's changed. After she leaves his mother, he gives her the order to "live a long life" because he understands that her accepting orders from Gilbert was her way of saying "I love you" to him, even if she didn't know it at the time. When she says "I know longer need orders" he understands just how much of her own woman Violet has become. She's finally understood what his brother was trying to tell her just before the battle of Intense 🥲 Now, as much I really like these final 2 episodes, my favorites will always be when the episodes focus on her clients. I think that's where this show absolutely shines! Having said that, it's a beautiful 2-part finale that shows growth from Benedict (a little bit lol), Dietfried, and, especially, Violet. The letter ceremony is easily my favorite part of the finale. Just so beautiful 🥲
