I highly recommend you guys check out Apothecary Diaries. It seems like something you would really enjoy. It's about a girl with apothecary skills who winds up working in the emperors court helping people. It's a both a sweet and powerful story.

Personally, I don't care about animation quality, so I think the hate season 2 gets is unwarranted. I like it better than season 1.

I don't understand why people reference or suggest anything about future seasons or episodes for first time watchers. Whether it's actually related to something later in the show or not, it colors the experience of watching blind. People should just comment on what has been shown up to now only and enjoy the reactions when they happen

Ye the Animation is Not as good as season 1 but s1 had literally Legends fron the industry working in it but I still wouldnt say that s2 has bad Animation, its still decent/ good

I personally like S2 better than S1. I didn't get the same vibe from the doctor when I first saw it but it would be a crazy plot twist if the doctor created the evil robot and then created genos out of guilt

Honestly, ngl, season 1 is a banger but the story of season 2 puts it above 1 for me. Animation may have changed but it's not like drastic like other shows..

You realize that, to this day, DVDs STILL sell better than Blurays right? Do you think it's because people LOVE that crisp 480p resolution vs 1080p? No, it's because a LOT of people simply don't 'naturally' notice this stuff. If you point this out to people, or if they consume a ton of it, it will become more obvious, but it's VERY easy to not have noticed. It was years between S1 and S2 of OPM and if you had years between viewing them, can't you just assume they actually didn't notice, instead of assuming they are actively lying and trying to deceive you? The world is a much nicer place if you don't assume everyone else is out to get you...

Never did a 1:1 comparison of season one and two, and as casual viewer I can't say I noticed a decline in quality. Loved it, especially because of the introduction of new interesting characters. A somewhat slower pace couldn't have hurt though.

I hope they enjoy as well, but the production quality of this season is just absolute dog compared to season 1, and that includes the sound design. I think the story is better, though. I think they nailed some of the comedic elements.

Honestly, the animation/production isn't really that bad, I still enjoyed this season (albeit quite a bit less than the first season), but there are two things that actually do bother me: the look of basically all metal, and lost of action sound effects. Essentially all metal looks weirdly shiny, like its covered in a gel or something. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you have a main character like Genos with so much screen time, and then entirely metal characters like the robot in this episode, it's not so small. Then there's a lot of the action sound effects like explosions and impact sounds that just sound generic or outright wrong. Again, "just sound effects", but in a show that has this many fights, they become much more noticeable and hard to ignore.
