We're really excited to start getting some movies in the rotation here on Patreon!
We'll start with our most requested options, which are all anime and seem to be extremely popular. Our original intent with movies was to keep them all here on the Patreon but depending on popularity and demand we may end up releasing some of these to YT as well, in order to help with channel growth. You'll have them here first and with full lengths always of course! 🫡 Let us know which of these you'd like to see first and as always, we plan on getting to ALL of them eventually! We'd love to do live-action movies as well (Dune 2 is in the pipeline!) so don't be shy on recommendations! Thanks so much!!

Also, at the point youre on in the story you can safely watch up to the 10th movie (Strong World) without having to worry about spoilers! My absolute favorite is by far Baron Omatsuri, i don't even wanna say anything abt it bc its better if you just go blind into it lol but i really REALLY recommend it

This movie is great and would make my day! Also, I know that this isn’t a post about anime recommendations, but please, PLEASE consider giving the one season anime “Your Lie in April” a try 🥹 it’s very short. I think it’s only like 20 something episodes

2025-03-08 11:50:09 +0000 UTCThe "problem" with Tenki no Ko is that it follows a very similar formula to Your Name, and compared to the other 3 movies in the list, I do think it is the weakest one. I enjoyed it, it has great animation (as expected) and soundtrack (as expected as well, just Radwimps being Radwimps), but the other 3 hit a lot harder.

Maybe some one piece movies as there's a few you can watch now spoiler free or some ghibli movies. It may get tiring watching such depressing/emotional movies one after another haha

There’s a version that doesn’t translate the written kanji, and it can ruin the experience. If you see a written kanji on the screen that doesn’t get translated in the subtitles, it’s best to immediately change the anime source. Alternatively, you could ask a friend or your editor to watch it first to make sure you’re getting the correct translation. just my suggestions 😀

Mugen Train 🔥 to this day, it is still in second for highest grossing Japanese films. It is an absolute masterpiece. Of note, Weathering With You is by the same director... It tangentially takes place in the same movie universe as Your Name... It's not a sequel or even really all that related, but I've heard that there are Easter Eggs hidden within that reference Your Name, which makes it fun if you've seen Your Name first

You really don't get the full impact of the movie without the subtitles translating the text that's in the journals, etc. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it's absolutely essential. Watching on regular Crunchyroll seems to work fine, not sure why the translation is different if it goes through Amazon

I personally prefer a silent voice (because its story resonates with me a lot more), but all of them have amazing animation, a great story, stellar soundtrack and will make you feel a lot of emotions.
