2025-03-04 00:11:18 +0000 UTCThe way I see it, Helmeppo's words in OPLA are kind of how the propaganda of the World Gov has rationalized the Warlord system, and he's just repeating his view of how it's supposed to work. But in reality, the system is flawed because there's no way these strong pirates would be at the beck and call of the Marines. Even in the live action, Mihawk answered Garp's call but still didn't really listen to orders and straight up said he was only doing what he wanted because it was interesting.

I mean moria is capturing pirates and stealing their shadows and crocodile had a whole organization full of bounty hunters, so even if they ignore the world government they are still doing their job for the world government

2025-03-03 17:27:54 +0000 UTCWith the government and warlords, I believe the way it works is that they can request aid from the warlords for certain things, but they aren't like 'at the ready' for them. You'll may see more of these kinds of things later on. What you're thinking of is from the live action when Helmeppo said that about the warlords. It's not necessarily true in the anime/manga. I guess it's kind of true but not really. There is some level of pressure there to at least kind of have the similar interests of the government otherwise they'd be hunted down. I guess it can cause some confusion because of what Helmeppo said. Maybe it's going to be different in LA. idk.

2025-03-03 14:35:45 +0000 UTCThe main point of the warlords is just to wipe out pirates and give a percentage of the treasure from said pirates to the government. They can bid them to come to meetings but only Kuma really follows the government and their orders 100%

I feel like if you wait longer, you girls will be confused on the behavior of the old crew as it will not match with the current crew
