The personalities of the crew are so well defined that you almost hit yourself for forgetting what their 'priorities' are lol. 2025-02-14 18:01:05 +0000 UTCI think just because of that hollow-hollow fruit demonstrating it's powers to everyone and the fact that it didn't affect Usopp is way more sad than you'd think, as well. It's not like Usopp has some kind of innate strength -against- devil fruits, so the fact that the power didn't do anything to him only -provesss- that he's sad inside. It's such a profound and subtle hint at his actual character. Everyone laughs at that part because it is incredibly funny, but it really isn't that funny if you're looking at it from the perspective of that just proves he thinks of himself in that way. Just recall what the others say when they get hit with that ability and Usopp isn't affected because he -already thinks that way- to begin with.
