2025-02-01 06:21:47 +0000 UTCThere's a cool story related to this anime. Not too long ago there was a knife attack in the Taiwanese metro. Some psycho started stabbing people with a knife. That's not the cool part, I promise. It was packed in the metro so there was nowhere for people to run. He undoubtedly would have claimed many lives but thankfully he was tackled and subdued by a Taiwanese teen until the police arrived. When the journalists started asking the teen why he decided to go up against a crazy guy with a knife, he replied with a straight face: "It's what Himmel the Hero would have done." True story :) Himmel really changed the world for the better, not just Frieren's but ours too. I can't wait for season 2.

Lernen about Serie caring for her students, but not showing it, she explicitely shows her appreciation to Fern on the first opportunity she gets! :D I feel like she realized she didn't show it enough either, so she tried to praise Fern more openly :)

2025-01-31 13:47:03 +0000 UTCIn a flashback in Ep6, Himmel said, "I'd rather enjoy a ridiculous and fun journey l can laugh about when it's over" and in this episode, Wirbel said, "Those stories of Himmel's less exciting adventures were what guided me here" I feel like that's what this show is all about. Even in our short lives, small encounters can change people and the world. I guess my finding this channel is one of those small changes :) It was truly a wonderful journey with you! I kind of hope you guys get a chance to watch Violet Evergarden someday ;)

2025-01-31 10:50:50 +0000 UTCThat shot of Himmel fading/walking into the distance with the sentence "After all, it would be embarrassing when we met again" in the background makes me sob every time 😭😭 It's just so special, so bittersweet, knowing that he's passed away now and this is Frieren looking back at the most treasured memories of her life, but also the knowledge that their journey is to Ende and there's a very real chance that they'll actually meet again makes me well up without fail🥺🥺🥺 Love this show so much, what a perfect ending. Can't wait till we meet again, Frieren 💞💞

I'll be happy for them to take whatever time they need to do as good a job as they did for Season 1. If you google "Ubel playing the long game" there's a pretty funny comic some fan did.

Honestly, the spell that Fern received from Serie would be a game changer for me! I would abuse that spell so much 🤣🤣🤣 Also, it's just adorable how proud of herself Fern was when being praised by Frieren about the spell lol. It's amazing just how many ways the mages of these exams were affected by Frieren. It's the small things you do for people that often get remembered. They might be small for the people doing these things, but it's huge for the people who benefit from such actions ❤️❤️❤️ Serie needs to be more honest with herself and her students. Also, she's so petty when it comes to Frieren lol

With that being said, I'm glad to inform you both that Frieren season 2 got the greenlight sometime in September 2024 and it is being worked on right now. The estimated ETA is sometime around the fall of 2025. 😁👍

2025-01-31 05:01:35 +0000 UTCAs others have mentioned, Season 2 is in development but Season 3 could be a long ways off; Season 1 has adapted nearly half of the existing manga chapters, and new chapters have been dropping at a snail's pace for a while now (only 17 chapters in 2024, and currently in an indefinite break). There's some good arcs in there that they could stretch out with some killer animation, though, so hopefully we'll be eating good soon!
