So thank you very much for being alive and watching it.

Oda is pretty goody but yeah, he's clearly thought about stuff well in advance for his story and I start to sweat thinking about how much he's holding in his head and how he carefully he probably answers important questions to avoid giving out more info than we need at this point in the story Also yess, very cool that y'all remember the pussyfoot (lol) move so clearly and that it clearly was setting up something that exists in the universe, its just so far from the grand line that it looks super dangerous to normies out on the smaller islands

2025-01-03 21:52:34 +0000 UTCIt'd be great if you could get into the cover stories as soon as possible, as a lot of them are nice backstories to characters in the main story :) If numbering Buggy's story as number 1, now you can safely read the cover stories 1-8, although 1 (Buggy's search for his body parts) and 2 (Diary of Coby and Helmeppo) have been animated. After Episode 325 you'll be safe to read cover story 9. While the cover story itself doesn't contain spoilers, it does have the manga's chapter title above the story panel, which contains spoilers. There is a reddit thread, which has linked the cover stories on imgur. As far as I could see they were in the right order and no spoilers in them - if you have an editor or someone you trust who alreay watched or read one piece, you could ask them to get the images for you :)

There are some side plot things that manga readers would know about at this point that anime watchers wouldn't and some of them are really cool. The Eneru cover stories are a must!

Sometimes people will ask something and Oda will go: "Oh I didn't think of that" or "Oh I didn't make that clear enough" and then he'll answer the question and then also address it within the story in the next arc or something like that. Other times people ask things that he doesn't really care about at that moment so he just makes some bullshit answer on the spot - and then he may end up addressing that in the story too, but he won't go back in the bullshit answer and will make sure it remains valid.

The way everything is slowly revealed at the right time is why, for me, OP is perfect storytelling. It makes you want more and more. I binged from episode 1 to 700-ish (which at the time was fully caught up) in a few months. Any spare time I had was spent catching up. I have no regrets.
