It shows even more that Luffy still cares about Usopp a lot.. Btw, you mentioned the swirls in long long island - I hadn't notice these parallels. However, this reminded me of what another reactor (of the manga though) pointed out right after the long long island arc: He expected someone leaving the crew in the next arc. According to him (which you can especially see in these two arcs) Oda likes to do something in a smaller scale only to bring it back in a bigger scale. He mentionned Chopper having to switch crews to Foxy's crew and thought this was forshadowing someone from the crew leaving in Water 7.

It's one of the most iconic episodes in anime history because of the sheer depth of the emotion. I remember even having conversations with other guys saying that they broke down in tears at this episode. Thanks for dropping all three of them together btw. No spoilers of course, but there'll be more instances of absolute joy and elation, and absolute heartbreak. I say this all the time, but I really mean it, thanks for a wonderful reaction

2025-01-01 17:42:43 +0000 UTCLets start the new year right! In tears. The nice thing about the crew being the 'bad guys' is that Robin can do that to Spandam and it works. They are pirates it's not out of character for them to do something like that. I love moments when the crew does something that reminds you that they are bad guys. Like when Luffy used a marine as a human shield. I love that Oda writes the story in such a way that everything gets worse for the crew in a believable way. An intelligent would destroy the escape ship and corner them to capture them. I also love that the crew cheering for Luffy to move doesn't suddenly give him strength to move again. Luffy used everything he had and had nothing left. I hate the 'I need more strength so I will get strong because my people are cheering for me.' Luffy trust his crew so that he can fight to the point that he can't move anymore and they will handle the rest.

2025-01-01 17:39:43 +0000 UTCEMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 Every time I see 312, I tear up through most of it, then, as the Merry burns, he speaks one last time and that always breaks me 😭😭😭 Merry is our ship and our crew member and I'll always be grateful to him. Robin folding Spanda in half is so satisfying to watch 😈😈😈 Most of the time, I'm like "I don't like violence," but, as soon as I see stupid Spanda, I want Robin to murder him, bring him back to life, beat him to within an inch of his life, have him recover, beat him to within an inch of his life again, then, if she feels like it, kill him for good. Anyways, unhinged comment aside, I love these final 3 episodes that close out the Enies Lobby arc!

Very excited to continue this journey with such lovely company 😁🎉 These episodes will never leave my cheeks dry. I even prepared tissues before sitting down and watching the reaction. Smort me 🤓🥸 I have to stress how much I love and adore Paulie and Iceburg. When I first watched the show (I was rather young) I thought they were cool and all...but I guess my love grew with my age 😂 I do think Iceburg didn't leave to fix the Merry, tho. When he left he really fixed the Rocketman for them to get off the Island in time. I think he happened to find the Merry after the crew left... Because as soon as he finished with the Merry, he announced he wanted to go out to sea in order to come to meet with the Strawhats. However, I could be wrong. That's just what I always took away from that scene 😊

Cheers to the victory over CP9 and the Buster Call! Cheers to the best pirate ship of all times! These episodes are so incredibly good and so emotional. First we have the joy about a great victory and those little funny, adorable and satisfying moments and then we get an emotional scene that hits different to anything I ever saw in any movie or series... Only hearing that 'dolphin' sound and this voice brings tears of joy and pain to my eyes everytime. Oda-sensei indeed created the most beautiful story :)
