2025-01-06 07:51:48 +0000 UTCI just wish Oda would let Sanji cook (pun intended) for slightly longer sometimes - it happens too often and quickly IMO and ends up undercutting a lot of his genuinely epic moments. Zoro sharing one brain cell with Luffy is a very funny bit, but I can’t think of any times off the top of my head that he gets lost or does something stupid immediately before/after a super epic moment.

It doesn't even matter if you're not as freakishly strong as Luffy or Zoro or run away like Ussopp, they all know that there are some things they can each do and some things they cannot do and rely on others for and they'll all use their own strengths to protect each other. A perfect example is Kalifa and Wolf guy. Sanji simply will not attack a woman so Nami, who is usually considered less strong than him, steps in to protect him and Sanji steps in now to protect her and Ussopp

Is a targeted Weapon of Me Destruction. Because Usopp has now witnessed twice the lengths the crew will go to in order to retrieve someone trying to defect with a conflicted heart… and they didn’t do it for him. Luffy allowed him to leave the crew. Hell, the others didn’t even drop by for tea and a ‘no hard feelings’ the next day. (Of course if you’re rational about it the circumstances are vastly different, but that hurt is still very fresh. Rationality is a tall order.) That’s gotta sting a little bit. Then, appears Sogeking! Who was born on Sniper Island, which is in your heart. What else is in your heart? The things you love, the things you wish for. Intentionally or not, Usopp’s been going around telling the Straw Hats that the caped, brave, confident hero Sogeking exists because he’s the sniper they wanted. And he definitely believes it. And here comes Sanji, saying: I’ll take over this fight you can’t possibly win, and also ? You don’t have to be an idealized version of yourself to be as necessary as I am. This arc pulls at my heartstrings so much T_T
