I can take the blame for that as I am not a lore expert. Just go into the wiki and take the modern 40k history and units to compare. I also imagine he is comparing them to these as except for some lore, Aurelian doesn't know everything about 40k to a T. Yeah, but that's my fault if you see lore inconsistentlcies

2025-08-31 23:30:37 +0000 UTCGreat job. Couple things seem weird though, the comparison to current Imperial soldiers, space marines and custodes is super jaring. I dont know what infodump he got upon insertion or before but him having knowledge of them existing is fair enough but to be able to actually and confidentely compare between them and some DaOT enhanced soldier program is weird. It feels like info that should be in AN, comments or info tab. Individual power is so incosistent across 40k where Emps got badly wounded by a warboss on one hand and inquisitor battles demon prince on the other. Imo it would work better either cortana comparing the enhancements to Spartans which is something she would feasibly be able to do or comparing the levels of enhancements to the roles the mentioned IoM troops are for. That begs the question apart from the Officio Assassinorum, Mechanicum, Astartes and Custodes IoM does not deploy standardised enhanced infantry. Some may have implants but Tempestus Scions, Solar Auxilia, Guard even sisters of battle irrc are just regular men and women. Further all the enhanced people are kept strictly out of the Astra Militarum in their own little corner. EDIT: Half of these orders and units are founded sometime in 40k which ya know 10k years or so in the future so IoM right now does not have the equivalent other than throw much more Astarted at the problem before it dies.
