E47 - Shibuya Incident - Gate, Close

YUTA 😄
...yuta 😨

Seriously so sorry for being confused at the end, we were doing our best to keep up. BUT WHY THE PRINCIPAL?
This was such a great series, and we will neverrrr forget season 2. What an insane and totally wild ride... We'd love to do a series Q&A to finish this off. If you have any specific JJK related questions, please leave them in the comments for us and we'll do that asap.
Thank you so so much for your love and support here on Patreon and we hope you decide to stick around!
Until the next season,
-Haylo & Kiss 💕

lol, come on. H&K have said a bunch of times that don't like "expectation" spoilers like that. They'd rather go in completely blind, which is understandable

Dark_Eternal

great reaction. and such beautiful hair. haha

Indieee_

Someone manually subbed the blu-ray in the patreon? Nice good job that's hard work.

Rick Turpentine

You already know that Inumaki is going to be upset with Yuta

Kevin Croft

this goes for literally everything you haven't finished watching/reading. :D

MrMegaman94

Because gojo and the principle took responsibilities for holding yuji's penality

In my opinion from now on is what makes JJK actually good. Season 3 is where they start having more and more complex themes and symbolism. It's more grounded and narrative focused as well.

Loved y’all’s reactions! Can’t wait till season 3 comes out next year

Michael Ballinger

Kiss was right on the money there. Fake-Geto made pacts with other cursed users who embeded their souls in objects (like Sukuna) and unlocked potential cursed energy in people like Junpei. The first season was to explain both of these phenomenon (with Yuji as the catalyst for the first and Junpei as the second). Mahito had the ability to unlock the potential (as proven with Junpei) and Geto used his supreme art to take that ability to use for this plan. His initial plan was just the cursed objects but the existence of Mahito allowed him to more than double his initial projection of potential cursed users unlocked. He's made pacts with many cursed users over a thousand years hopping from socerer to sorcerer with a dream of bringing back the golden age of Sukuna's time. Basically as expressed by Mahito's evolution, cursed users evolve in combat. So the final stage of his plan is to pit all the awakened users against each other so they can develop into the sorcerers from the golden age as well as give the reborn sorcerers a playground to shake off the rust from being in slumber for so long. Hope that clears things up!

Here's my question: We learned in this episode extremely few cursed spirits form in other countries except for Japan. If you had the power to wipe out all non sorcerer's in Japan, like Geto wanted, to stop cursed spirits from being formed would you? Or would you keep trying to find a way risking this issue being put off to future generations? This reminds me of AOT with them struggling to deal with the titan problem.

Cannot wait for Frieren, just do yourselves a huge favor and keep a box of tissues nearby cause you're gonna need em.

Luke Wayman

nvm i scrolled down to other comments

Marley

you sure? i don't see their reactions on youtube. did they watch it on their own time?

Marley

It’s been great watching JJK with you all! Cannot wait for Frieren!!

Shelby Baumann

You're right about how Inumaki lost his arm, he was still in range of Malevolent Shrine. Good pickup, I was so lost when I first saw it.

Joshspice

I find this series very fun, and it has some of the best fight scenes and best music I've seen in a while, but it's not quite on AOT levels for storytelling. Not to knock JJK, because almost nothing is on AOT levels for storytelling.

Flubbedsquid

They've seen it already

Flubbedsquid

Think they’ve watched it already

YUTA OGOATSU HAS FINALLY ARRIVED

Daniel Lee

How did you enjoy the series overall? And did it manage to fill the AOT sized hole in your hearts? Lol

Blackfyre5490

thoughts on Mahito as a villain? he’s obviously like, the worst, but i loved his dynamic with Yuji and imma kinda miss him in a weird way lmao

Jamie

So glad you guys finally got through it! We all know how emotionally scarring season 2 is! But here’s my Question: What Cursed Technique would yall like to have in real life that you could use on a daily basis! P.S. (No picking from the main cast😆)

Luke Molkenthin

That’s not unfortunate

Nat

Yuta has all of the top 5 moment in the next arc. That mf is a beast

baja

JJK is about to get more complicated heheheh

Resonant Curse

It's too bad alot of the JJK fandom love spoiling it for others. Happened to me with youtube thumbnails before i decided to read ahead.

Geo

I agree. I feel like the info dump would have been okay had they explained it all much better. Most anime only reactors confusion and assumptions are all very valid given how vague this ending was.

Cap

they're mostly watching frieren

fatneek

They have already seen it. Read the pinned post at the top. It says that was their gateway anime.

Ari

They've seen it

Mincer

Y'all should watch Hunter x Hunter next!

Julius

Well the old heads are really just choosing to blame the principal,Gojo and even the real geto….it’s so easy to think one thing and they already hate Gojo to begin with so whatever keeps him out of they hair I’m sure they would welcome. Yuji just clapped to get the attention of the curses that’s all

Caraxes🐐DT

great article

Nadeem L

Yuta back and just know s3 is going to go crazy

Itzkingkongbait Nj

Excellent point

Nadeem L

I think you mean cursed energy/technique. This is something we can go into more detail once season 3 comes around

Nadeem L

This explains Rika in a spoiler free way, but I'm warning people just in case they still don't wanna know. When Rika died as a child we are told Yuta cursed her. This is true but a very simple explanation. What Yuta did was create a shikigami(the white monster we see Rika as) and place Rika's soul inside of it. Her soul was not cursed to turn into the monster but it was cursed to be placed INSIDE the monster. Like a battery powering a toy. Yuta later broke the curse and set Rika's soul free, however the Shikigami body remained and it had developed a COPY of Rika's monster personality. The Rika that Yuta talked to in this episode is essentially a clone of Rika. TLDR: Rika's real soul was set free but the monster body her soul was inside developed a copy of her personality. Yuta essentially has a clone of Rika

Cap

Principal is very close to gojo and geto and if the higher ups thought gojo and geto were in it together then principal might be too

Gyt

So correct me if im wrong but from what I understand is that Rika the girl got released but Yuta still has the spirit.

Hertog

Without risking manga spoilers, this: https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/deep-dives/2024/1/3/jujutsu-kaisen-season-2-ending-explained article from Crunchyroll explains the ending well.

Isaac Hernandez

I read that the creator of JJK wanted Yuta to be the main character but his editor changed it too Itadori instead.

OhLong Johnsson

Oh… 😔. They would love “My Hero” guess we gotta wait

Stix

No unfortunately they’re watching frieren after this

Wsgyan

I was not a fan of this final episode. They chose to just info dump everything and after how amazing the entire season was it was underwhelming. On a happier note our boy Yuta is back!

Bri

Glad y’all enjoyed it, lemme tell ya it gets even crazier in the manga so I have high expectations for season 3 - looking forward towards your next show

Dan Reed

Once you start Frieren, if you haven't already I highly recommend to watch/record the first 4 episodes back to back, even if you stagger the releases as 1 ep at a time.

Gavin Barham

My Hero Time ?

Stix

yeah i think it was the episode before or maybe 2-3 eps ago it showed one of inumaki arms is gone, i think it happened pretty fast but when i watched it for the first time, i paused at every frame to see everything. it was one of the things Sukuna did with the radius explosion thing, inumaki just got caught slightly in it.

Angel Chatfield

Glad yous enjoyed it😁 and it ur wanting a question am curious what do you 2 think sukunas plan is?

Keeza

Question: What’s your favorite cursed technique and/or domain expansion + which character do you think has the most untapped potential, would you like them to develop a domain expansion in the future?

Oriem

Will frieren have the Same schedule as jjk? Already looking forward to it. 😊

MrMegaman94

Return of the King and enterance..

Deived

Not a question but warning for manga spoilers. If you look up something JJK related on Youtube there is a chance the algorithm will recommend vids/shorts with manga spoilers. Loved the reactions all season also!
