He killed himself to stop his body from killing his own son, but not before confirming that Gojo kept his promise and Megumi was in safe hands away from the Zenin clan. Toji and Geto are my favourite characters, I think the way they respond to tragedy, and how tragedy is weaved into their stories, is really well written.

2024-11-01 15:27:50 +0000 UTCi agree with the “less CE” comment, but we’ve seen that overall CE doesn’t mean everything, many times in the story. and to say that Jogo is “extremely weak physically” is a statement which i flat out don’t understand, considering my guy literally had his head torn off and survived, and fought Gojo AND Sukuna for a good amount of time respectively (yes obviously both were playing around however.)

2024-11-01 05:44:28 +0000 UTCI think Yuta mid diffs Jogo, but he'd need Rika's help. Jogo is definitely faster and has more destructive power, but he's extremely weak physically and has less CE than Yuta.

If you're comparing Yuta to the likes of Gojo and Sukuna then don't, they're above everyone else which is why Jogo is a cake walk for them. Yuta on the other hand could stand his ground very well. Would he struggle? Probably but I've seen what he's capable of from the manga so I wouldn't count him out.

2024-10-31 19:02:48 +0000 UTCTo be clear I don’t think yuta could 1v1 jogo at this point, he would just be the only real strategy they have to coordinate some kind of group attack/jumping after Gojo is removed from the equation Even with those odds in a group attack I’d say the sorcerers still lose 9/10 times with narrative established stuff like jogos tentativeness and adherence to future plans being their only win condition

Jogo just has way more destructive force, Geto is probably more versatile sure; but i fail to see how yuta would be able to handle the sheer destruction Jogo can inflict in every landed hit

2024-10-31 14:19:40 +0000 UTCThere's yet to be an explanation here for Toji's actions so this may be a bit lengthy: Toji was extremely close to his wife and upon fighting Megumi - in that mere instant that they were face to face - Toji realized those eyes of Megumi's were the same as his wife's. Even without a mind of his own, his body engrained the love he had for his wife to recognize her. Even to Gojo, Megumi has a striking resemblance to that of Toji, hence it was all in the eyes (and I want to throw myself at a wall just by knowing that). It really seems to show how he so tragically lost his way after he lost her. To make this matter even more depressing (enough that I actually teared up after I found out); when it comes to Seance: before Toji killed Granny, his eyes were white because there was control over him. After Toji killed her, his eyes went black to portray how Seance had run amok. However, after looking into Megumi's eyes and recalling the wish of his wife, his eyes immediately turned back to white, meaning... Toji was actually there. Toji was in control. Whether his soul was truly present or not, we don't know, but it's heavily implied that Toji in that moment was whole. He got to see his son follow after his wife and that was enough for him to put an end to his rampage. This shit was so sad, there's more to analyze but it's all conjecture. On the other hand, if you want to be as deluded as me and pretend we're in a world where Toji didn't lose his wife and Megumi was raised in a loving 2 parent household, there's an insanely cute comic series you can find on @tojiswifeyjjk on Instagram of their life as a family (made me cry ngl). I love Toji and I'll forever defend him, bro just lost his way after losing the love of his life.

It shows that even though he was a shitty dad a part of him did love Megumi. Also not going to lie I like Kusakabe. He’s the most normal one there and understands he wouldn’t stand a chance if he tried to free Gojo. If you think of all the fights we’ve seen so far the only ones to win are the “freaks” Gojo, Toji, Sukuna. He is a coward but he has a point What’s the point of running in to be murdered.
