Celestial smith chapter 50
Added 2025-03-24 13:29:17 +0000 UTCCelestial smith chapter 50: A confrontation and a parting of ways.
And thus The north parts with the south. if i was thinking in terms of story arcs, maybe this is the end of the first
Thank you for being with me since the beginning, all the way to chapter 50. To avoid burnout, i will be taking a week off. I hope i have gained enough confidence among you that you wont leave thinking i am not coming back. If sickness, bad translation and English writing and work wont keep me away, a little rest wont as well.
It will also allow me to fix any problems that you have brought up in my writing though i hope with Owens latest upgrades, he will never be in danger or at least desperately so ever again for those whose criticism was this. I will be finishing any nsfw stories i have left then finally resting.
I will also need your vote on future projects you think i should do, so please feel free to vote or comment.
I'll see you next week

Fucking outstanding. I love Eddard Stark but his inability to separate himself from Robert Baratheon led his entire family to ruin. Owen standing tall and taking the blame so his conscience is clear is pretty awesome. And when Robert finally dies and his idiot son tries to take his hammer im gonna laugh my ass off. Also, please tell me Owen keeps one of those eggs. One for Jon and one for Daenaerys.

2025-04-01 16:30:16 +0000 UTCI really like the idea of a Self-Insert in Mass Effect with the Celestial Forge. There are several Celestial Forge fics set in Warhammer 40K, and I’d love to see one set in the Mass Effect universe.

2025-03-27 04:12:51 +0000 UTCIt might be a longtime coming but it was leaning too much towards character bashing and that's never a good sign of storytelling.

2025-03-24 23:39:01 +0000 UTCthis is the sort of thing that could easily see more Kingdoms try to go there own way. Robert has allowed the 7 kingdoms to almost be bankrupted along with all the turmoil under the surface that he's ignored.

2025-03-24 21:03:27 +0000 UTCcongrats, great work reaching this far. hope enjoy your rest. looking forward to seeing what u have planed next. the south's going to be banging on the north's doors once all the magic stuff starts popping up all over the place i figure. will the champions just be basically a gods avatar or a true champion?

2025-03-24 19:39:54 +0000 UTCWas wondering if you could do warhammer fantasy instead of warhammer 40K, very few people seem to do stories on fantasy.

2025-03-24 17:56:53 +0000 UTCSo why not just mention the fact that The Other is real and are coming and that the south never cared for the north anyway so why start now?

2025-03-24 15:59:59 +0000 UTCI agree with you, this crash out was a long time coming. I really liked the in depth description on Owen’s upgrades, both physical magical and equipment. One thing I’m really looking forward to is the conversation between Owen, Ned and Jon about his parents. Also! Don’t forget about the dragon eggs! They should be somewhere in Pentos at this point, I believe.

2025-03-24 15:53:22 +0000 UTCGreat chapter though with owen going over ned's head and fircing him to go along with owens declaration it could cause tension and instability in the north and even just close family in who rules the north id think

2025-03-24 15:40:44 +0000 UTCGood chapter. Owen finally losing his shit was nice to see. The main fallout I’m worried about is with Ned. Owen effectively just usurped him. Sure, the Starks may still rule, but Owen - not Ned - just declared Northern independence with the full support of the Northern Lords. He’s also decided to make the North an expansionist empire all on his own. This is going to have major consequences for the House of Stark and their relationship with the MC.

2025-03-24 15:17:47 +0000 UTCI think it’s better to save that particular bit of info. This event is going to throw the entire seven (six?) kingdoms into chaos. They’re going to spend years attempting to establish some sort of balance with the new status quo. Certain Lords will attempt to reap benefits and alliances with the North, they’ll be best in fighting their new war, and more. Later on, if the South somehow proves troublesome, he can use that info to throw them into chaos once more. Or even to elevate Daenerys to the Iron Throne if he wants. She could rule the South, after learning at his side. Right now, it wouldn’t really do much for him, besides maybe give him and us a lot of satisfaction lol

2025-03-24 15:13:08 +0000 UTCWhen no other human can match you in any way possible, and you have a real point about people's issues, you have every right to act the way Owen does

2025-03-24 14:45:59 +0000 UTCYou should have had Owen drop the incest baby/cuckold bomb onto Robert and Tywin. Would have been a great way to muddy the waters and distract them from the North.

2025-03-24 14:33:33 +0000 UTCI think after 20 chapters or so this is his first crash out.

2025-03-24 14:27:25 +0000 UTCI mean, Owen could talk about how the South has started to make unreasonable demands like the mad king. Here are the parallels: Asking for the sharing of technology never in the history of the seven kingdoms has another Kingdom had to share something with the rest of the realm. An example is the Citadel. Owen could have talked about how the Reach has had the citadel but not chosen to share some of their discoveries with the rest of the kingdoms. It is not part of his powers. The king can ask for military mobilization but can't ask a kingdom to reduce its force because anything that happens in a lord's land is their own decision. The king can strip land, but it has to be based on a concrete reason, or his nobles will rebel. The king can raise or lower taxes but enforce laws, but based on how the laws are written, Owen could break and then challenge them based on the trial by combat. Frankly, how his crown prince behaves could have killed the king. This is one of the reasons for the breakdown in the relationship between Aerys and Tywin because Aerys was thirsty for Tywin's wife. And remember, the crown prince has only as much authority as the king gives, yet the crown prince is openly talking about taking Owens's wife, which was the main pillar of Robert's rebellion, and Robert wasn't even married to Lyanna. The only reason the North joined the rebellion was their king's royal family was taken, and their lord and lord's son was killed. I think Jon Arryn would have informed the king about tanning the hide of his son for what he was suggesting because of the power imbalance between the crown and Owen. Owen is basically the hightowers but played right. He has basically a monopoly that can't really be taken away from him. He has influence basically in his lord's kingdom that would ensure that everyone in the north would come to their aid. He has gold, a better army, and ships. Frankly, the most the king could do was raise taxes because, frankly, Owen had not broken the king's peace.

2025-03-24 14:14:40 +0000 UTCEnjoy your break. Couldn’t have picked a better chapter to leave off on. With the North all but declaring independence officially, the southerners will basically have to treat them as their own kingdom now. Still, hope some southerners like the Riverlands and Dorne get something for their support, if only to rub it in the Crown and Lannister’s faces.
