2024-10-15 16:42:06 +0000 UTCthe opening definitely doesnt hold significant spoilers at this point. certainly no more than watching any of the others with the show. theres a huge difference between 'youre seeing something hinting at something but without context' and 'this is literally what happens plastered in front of you'. its totally safe to watch it from here - sure theres vague references to stuff but without context none of it counts as spoilers. no characters you dont already know are around, no literal spoilers, just thematic stuff that again is not on any different level to the other openings. and it 100% enhances the experience when you get to have the mood set with the opening. i hope you choose to watch it soon

And a lot of people make comments like these, but that ruins a portion of the surprise effect. H&K have actually said that they don’t want people to do that. Just like how people have hinted at big episodes in AOT. Just don’t do it.

JJK is one of my favourite animes along with Demon Slayer, Death Note and Code Geass, but I do have a small criticism (dont hate me anyone who reads this) - it's that they mix light hearted/almost humourous moments with really, really sad/tragic moments, it kind of undercuts the emotion and the shock of people dying - like the cartoonish way Geto is explaining how to theoretically defeat Gojo vs Jogo just straight up killing people - although I do get that, from a writing standpoint, the author is like trying to show how meaningless individual humans are to curses...etc. Again, such entertaining reactions, very excited for the next episode! Btw, doesn't Ui Ui kind of remind you of Yushiro, Lady Tamayo's assistant? lol
