Absolutely awesome. Such a fun arc, Foxy is a pure comedy villain and so many great and silly moments. My wife's favourite character in all of One Piece is Itomimizu. She is fully caught up btw, not slouch! Who is Itomimizu? Why the commentator of course! On the bird who hates Nami. She loved him immediately and irrationally. Because we live in Japan we have access to all OP merch and stuff. So I am happy to say I have facilitated my wife's love of Itomimizu by buying her BOTH of his merch items. A One Piece card and a TINY statuette. Can not wait for Friday and the start of Water 7. Widely considered the best arc in the entire show and I shall say nowt else. Love you girls as always and the lovely people I read in the comments! I hope you all find that that zipper is on the wrong side of the backpack when your hands are full.

The 1-minute canon scene should be watched by them because the gorosei are the ones introducing and establishing this new important character. If they’re fine with just one Straw Hat member spouting exposition about the new character, ok ig. I figure that 1-minute canon scene has better intrigue and impact than the last few minute of episode 226. Theres setup and pay-off. Without the setup from the minute part in episode 225, the pay-off, imo, isn’t that impactful. It’ll just seem random to them. But that’s just me.

Regarding filler and general advice on what to watch (intros, etc.), would it be possible that you include what episode your currently on (as you're always a few ahead) in the description, so that we know when to give you some advice and when it's already too late? Because you said you'll skip 220-225, but the first minute of 225 is canon and the first 19 minutes of 226 are filler, but this is too late for you to consider now. This might make this easier for us in the future. Thanks!

Episode 226 is mostly filler as well! Just skip to 19:30 and watch the last few minutes, everything else is more Foxy filler.

That's the great thing about One Piece, Hayley nailed it...it IS a journey, but the payoff is soooooo satisfying, One Piece is figuratively like sailing with your friends and going on an adventure, the journey there is full of turns and is long and ardous, but it is such a great feeling at the end.

I think they pre-record quite a few videos in advance, so this might not happen unless someone already mentioned it 😬. For context, they did mention to comment any requests (like triple drops etc) to be given a few weeks in advance with multiple reminders ideally. But fingers crossed 🤞

The afro is actually a a reference to a famous old Japanese boxing champion called Yoko Gushiken. He had an afro and it kinda became his signature look. Also hes from a tiny island (Ishigaki, which is far from mainland Japan) and became famous worldwide like luffy!
