This movie totally took us by surprise, we were not expecting to cry and feel so many things. 😭💖 Everything was perfect. 2024-09-27 21:54:14 +0000 UTCyuta became my favorite jjk character after i read his story in the manga so you guys loving him 25 mins into the movie is totally valid!! lmao🧎 jjk portrays love in such beautiful/tragic ways, in this case with yuta and rika, their yearning for each other (in the purest way too since they were kids!) is what caused the curse, yes yuta's cursed energy is what solidified it but to me at least feels like something mutual, cause in the manga is explained that rika even alive tried to push people away from yuta lol😭 so her input was big too, and this concept of "cursing" someone is explored in the future as well so i'm excited for ya'll to see more of that, theres lots of cool concepts that this show presents through the characters, i've loved your comments on every episode so far so i'm looking forward to s2!! now, about geto and gojo... i have so much to say lol, but for now i can only say that the "my one and only" line will haunt me for years😭lmao

If you rewatch season 1 you can even see when he releases infinity, especially in the context of Yuji interacting with him, adding some very cool complexity to his character in how Yuji essentially becomes a combination of a son and a friend to him. However, with Mahito and Geto's fates considered (Geto being slightly wasted), I think their characters, while not necessarily more complex than Gojo, are imo better written.

2024-09-25 02:49:17 +0000 UTCHere is a fact about that scene where Maki did a split, focusing on her rear and legs, The VAs were discussing it and Yuichi Nakamura-san (Gojo's VA) was a bit upset because he knows that was for male fanservice while Maki's character is a high schooler. He felt it was not necessary. Megumi Ogata-san (Yuta's VA) lightened the mood by saying that Maki's legs look so strong it could crush a person's skull. 😅

2024-09-25 01:21:16 +0000 UTCthe way this sets up for season 2 is so good. jealous you guys get to watch s1, the movie, and s2 all in the same year like this! also, i'm pretty sure someone will (or has already) explain this better than me but I think originally Yuta was supposed to be the first main character instead of Itadori but they decided to do it this way instead. makes it make more sense why the movie makes Yuta seem like such a strong character for the show (because he is).

The original release is already good on its own, the blu ray version is just a big improvement for one episode, the rest are just minor improvements. They aren't missing out on anything huge if they watch the original release, most people haven't watched the blu ray.

2024-09-24 16:00:15 +0000 UTCThis show can be kind of unclear at times, so I just want to note a few important things: - Yes, in season 1, Megumi tells us that Yuta is "overseas right now". That's about all we know about where he is in the current day. - Gojo DOES actually think he killed Geto here. That's what that slashing sound is when the camera is zooming out. We do not know how Geto survives, just that he does. However, as far as Gojo and everyone in-universe knows, Geto is actually dead, which is why he tries so hard to stay hidden from the school in season 1. - You are correct that all the power was Yuta's. He unknowingly manifested a wildly powerful curse to store Rika's soul inside. When he broke the curse, her soul was allowed to move on, but all that power is still his to use. It won't work automatically anymore though, since there isn't a real soul inside to control the curse.

Geto is such a good written character and he’s best friend with gojo I guess that why many ppl like him, as for me I don’t have sympathy for geto. plus if u didn’t notice nanami did the four black flashes in the scene he appeared in fighting that curse, he’s so cool ! yuta is one of my favorites too, he did do black flash in that scene punching geto.
