Crocodile too lol

I don't know if you already know this arc and are just here for the reactions or if you basically watch OP along with them. When this arc is finished you can read the article for the Goro Goro no Mi in the fan wiki onepiece.fandom.wiki, which explains all puns and references, which mostly elude non-Japanese (speakers). The article contains no spoiler for future episodes. Back in the day I used to watch OP with fansubs and the fansub group I used, explained those puns and references right away, which was pretty cool.

Don't panic

I feel like not being a native Japanese speaker, so much detail is missed while experiencing OP, like this blew my mind

Omil Arts

an underrated detail I love in this episode is that Nami immediately treats Aisa the same way Nojiko treated the kid in Cocoa Village... like even wayyyy up in the sky, she's still Bellemere's daughter :')

Jack Package

Just so yall have an idea, we've seen a person who can't be punched/cut and that was Smoker. Try to remember in logtown Luffy hit him and he broke into smoke not getting damaged

Matheus Martins de Oliveira

@Pioka that's the actual spoiler here, delete this.

B.G.

Gotcha. But not really applicable here, as I tried to explain.

B.G.

Its not stubbornness if there are no good reasons to change my perspective. I have considered everyone else's opinion with care, and gave a thorough response. I truly do believe what I said will only enhance their watching experience. One more thing about my post to consider, is that explaining real life physics is not enough to confirm or deny any theories, since anything can happen in fiction, especially a cartoon. I probably should have emphasised this point in my original post and my response, but I came off didactic, and for that I'm sorry

Roadery

Congrats on being stubborn

fair, just be careful with what you explain. A lot of people don't realise that restating the same thing in another way highlights it as important, which some consider spoilers.

Kyle T

I'm not deleting my post as I truly believe what I said was not a spoiler in any way, but just clarifying misconceptions. I did not deny their theories I just clarified them. To explain my thought process I will use a hypothetical. If they had a theory that Kuro would be defeated by drowning because he had a devil fruit, would it be a spoiler to explain that Kuro does not have a devil fruit, and therefore the theory of him drowning doesn't make sense? If you think yes then i disagree strongly. If you think no, then you should have no problem with me explaining why their theories don't make sense, since their theories are based on misconceptions, and my explanation contained currently available information and no spoilers of any future information

Roadery

Bro, have some awareness and delete.

t3hfrankie1

Shut up

Lukas Rechsteiner

then let the the show/oda reveal it to them wherever it matters instead of having a bunch of backseaters fucking mansplain lightning where it doesnt matter

tapeter

Delete this

Seb

Not cool. Delete.

B.G.

Not stuff like this though. Robin did the explaining and since Haylee was unsure what she meant I explained what Robin meant, without adding anything. There is no harm in knowing what Robin meant, that's simply something the viewer is supposed to take away from this scene.

B.G.

Don't argue about it, just play it safe and remove the post. They've told us that confirming or denying theories is spoilery. https://www.patreon.com/posts/to-our-one-piece-109028704

Kyle T

They've asked us not to explain or confirm things.

Kyle T

Physics still matter in a way. Oda gives us a lot of explanation for things that seems out of any logic

Shimini

So one detail that i have always loved is that the first word Enel says when he is introduced is "Ware ga kami nari" meaning just "I am God" But in this episode he tells Kamakiri "Ware wa kaminari" which means "I am lighting" so for Japanese viewers and reader, the answer to Enel's power is right in front of you from the moment he is introduced

emilio corvalan

Saying nobody's dead, I see that Pell has already made you distrust Oda XD Thanks for the awesome reaction as usual, you're my favourite reactor by far. Keep up the great work <3

Xeth

This arc just rules

James Fischer

Chopper and Nami my favourites 😭😭

Trish

So true, I feel that he is underrated. He is super powerful and as you said, he is absolutely ruthless. I think it's because people rate Skypiea low in the arcs, I don't understand that though...it's a good arc and has a lot of lore that is important to the story. People that say to skip the arc are insane ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁.ᐟ

Xeth

You won't love their horn on the boat after a while (¬、¬) ...Ah you already realised how annoying it is! haha

Xeth

"A lightning cloud that ate a devil fruit?" I like the way you think.

Hudell

Still a spoiler because you are saying their theory isn’t correct. If physics mattered then there wouldn’t be islands in the sky

Pioka

Rather let them read the SBS info for themselves. They can still be spoilers, so please don't f it up here. Other one piece reactors do SBS reactions even if they only watch the anime. Let the girls have their fun.

The things Enel haves on his back are called 'Tomoe' drums, as a reference to the japanese god of thunder, Raijin. According to mythology / Shinto religion, the drums are what create the sound of thunder. So, I suppose Oda added those to give him a more god-like look. It also makes sense with his powers.

GolDLídia

The "blank century" is more commonly referred to as the void century. And what Robin was saying is that the downfall of Shandora 800 years ago coincides with the that void century. She doesn't say how exactly though it seems, so could be that the void century started 800 years ago or ended 800 years ago. We'll find out "soon enough".

B.G.

Loving the AoT tshirt. Very cool!

Alexander Tonkins

🗣"READY?" 🗣"READY" 🗣"ONE FIDDY" 🗣"3,2,1, GO!"

Seb

But using cartoon logic (as you mentioned) their theory could still be correct, no? You explaining physics here could still be spoiling if a theory is true or not, since this is a silly pirate show and much of what is happening goes against real-world logic anyways...

tapeter

I absolutely understand feeling helpless against Eneru, not just because of his power but also because of his ruthlessness. He's a very good villain

AiraKT

The history is more important to you than treasure? Spoken like a true One Piece fan

Snowman9712

When you get to researching it more there is just many are not spoken on.

Keontay Holmes

I definitely wouldnt say almost every single character but a fair amount of them yeah

Salman

Edward Smith

You will soon realize almost every one piece characters and concepts reference something.

Keontay Holmes

I agree with you. but thats not what i'm doing. I'm just explaining physics

Roadery

It was Luffy's stomach. In the German sub he tosses away the gold and says something like 'I would rather be in a restaurant' after it growls :D

Daniel

@4:23 i love how Chopper wasnt there for the explanation of dials so he thinks the goat guy is just doing a cool battle pose so he copies him not knowing that he's aiming his axe dial at Gedatsu xD

aydin sofian

Don’t deny or confirm theories please, let them figure it out on their own

Pioka

An absence of electrons does not neutralize lightning, as it will create a positive charge that will only attract the lightning by creating a difference in potential. Also lightning rods "attracting" lightning is a misconception, it instead redirects lightning to a different location when it does strike by providing a path of least resistance to the ground. This is an interesting idea they brought up, and could work if you actually attached the lightning rod to yourself (and with the help of cartoon logic), instead of placing one down and it attracting him like Haylo suggested, but I don't think it is practical in defeating Eneru, because it requires a lot of setup and you need to be connected to ground at all times. Hope this helps

Roadery

Love Kisses humor so much! Great intro girls 😂 as for Lore Peace, the rabbit hole feels never-ending, ever so expanding, SO EXCITING - Enjoy yourself by discovering more and more of the greatest story ever... those are my favorite episodes 😍 having a blast experiencing it again with you all!

Calogero Gaetani

Just a little fun fact since you guys mentioned it and not a spoiler. The symbol on Eneru is a Mitsudomoe, a specific type of Tomoe featuring three comma-shaped swirls. Closely associated with Shinto (an ancient Japanese religion) shrines, especially those dedicated to Hachiman, the god of war, the design is thought to represent the threefold division—man, earth, and sky. The Mitsudomoe also appears in various Japanese media, including the anime 'Naruto' and the Japanese-inspired region in the video game 'Genshin Impact.' :)

Mariam

Hiya, Earliest I ever caught one of these. Also, a weekly reminder that I hope you consider covering the filler arc right after this one. It is a lot of fun.
