I haven't played any of the games yet. I have the G.O.T.Y. versions of 3, New Vegas and 4, but haven't started any of them yet.

2024-08-12 07:28:29 +0000 UTCYeah, it's funny because immediately after this part we learn about Shady Sands and that what Lucy hoped for was very possible. In fact, it had happened without the Vault Dwellers knowing (well at least the residents of 31, 32, and 33. If you played the games... ifykyk) So it is a big collective why from everyone because it's not like Lucy is wrong.

2024-08-12 02:41:41 +0000 UTCWhen Lucy yelled "Why?!" at Maximus, I think she meant "Why would they lie and try to shoot us when we were just trying to get by, like they were," not "Why did you shoot them?" She did say they were naïve in the vaults. She's lived a certain way her whole life. She is learning, fairly quickly IMO considering that she's believed one thing her whole life. But, she's gotta run into a few of these culture shock things to "get it" or as Wilzig said "You will have to adapt. But, will you still want the same things, when you're a different animal altogether?" On rewatches, especially, I'm very impressed at how brave she is in the face of the unknown.

You guys probably taped this a while ago so I dont know if you remember the specific scene - when Lucy helped Maximus out of the armour, and then they made the deal, they shook hands, there was a rainbow and the 'battle march' theme? It's fascinating to see your reaction to that part as Americans, (Im Canadian) but I thought it was hilarious to add that, the music and the rainbow, them backlit, shaking hands, cause a lot of this show is satire right, this patriotism that still supposedly exists in a post-apocalyptic America, Lucy; someone considered a sheltered elitist from a literal shelter, and Maximus from a violent cult like organization, oh, not deriding your reaction btw lol, but Im saying the difference in our perception of that scene is really interesting. Also, Carissa, lol, Maximus saying "...happens all the time" at being shot at and grazed by bullets, trying to play the tough guy lmao. Anyway, again, I find these reactions so much fun!

2024-08-11 04:50:31 +0000 UTCThe beginning with Kiss randomly saying, "I love you". Makes me think of my 3 year old nephew randomly coming up to me hugging my leg and saying, "I love you, Uncle" and then walking away as if it never happened. 🤣 so precious. Love your guys' bond.

2024-08-10 19:14:02 +0000 UTCI don't know if this is a spoiler or more of a narrative design because it's never confirmed, but I see a lot of reactor's kinda miss Lucy's defining characteristic. Evidently, she is the supposed "good" of the wasteland. The shining beacon of what the world should be like. She sees the wasteland with its cannibals, ghouls, raiders, and the general scavenger for it's good. She even says as much by calling the people in 33 "naive." She is well aware of the bad, but she believes in people's better nature and appealing to it. Just like thirsty guy in the beginning, Wanzig the scientist, and now even Maximus. There is value to trusting people to do good. She just fails the speech check every once in a while, lol Not to harp on how you see it, just adding another layer to consider. Thanks for the reaction!
