They didn't mispronounce the vowels. They placed the emphasis on the 'h' in the middle instead of the 'M' at the start. Unfortunately, there isn't an easy rule for that; you just kind of need the ear for it (or to start learning to listen for syllabic emphasis).

Yeah, Japan has a strange relationship with the word "love", or "ai". In most cases, they say "thing + sukidesu" (pronounced ski-dess), "thing + I like". Where we would say "I love + thing", they would say "thing + daisuki" (pronounced die-ski) "thing + I really like". "Love" is a word primarily reserved for their significant other, and not in public either. Japanese people get really embarrassed when you use superlatives when referring to them like that, because being humble is a part of the culture. If you hear "Aishiteiru" (eye-shtey-roo, meaning "I love you") either in anime or real-life, it's a pretty big deal.

the concept of mahito's power is one of the most interesting ones in the jjk world to me. this is a little random but, you guys have neferpitou in your layer so i was wondering if you have watched hunter x hunter? cause the author of jujutsu kaisen is a die hard fan of the series and took inspiration from it to create the power system and even some characters! there are a few references here and there, we just watched one in this episode haha so i wanted to point it out only if you guys have watched it ofc!
