2024-07-06 15:20:44 +0000 UTCTo me this episode meant zoro has masters his blades, he can cut what he wants, slash a leaf and not want to cut it and it wont, slash at steel and wants to cut it, he will. Meaning he can cut anything he want and doesn't want to cut.

2024-07-05 23:44:24 +0000 UTCGood writing, Crocodile is literally waiting to pass the time, and monologuing doesn't give his enemies any advantage but instead inflict some psychological damage to them. It also matches his overconfident and arrogant personality to do just that. He also plans a few steps ahead to counter any action the heroes may take like he's toying with them.

2024-07-05 22:36:17 +0000 UTCDoes anyone else remember getting mad at villains for monologuing their plans, then doing nothing to stop the hero from stopping their plan? Crocodile is the response to those complaints. Because no other show would have the time for the villain to constantly thwart the hero's thwarting. I love seeing a villain that actually doesn't allow the heroes to do whatever they want. Every time Crocodile acts, he creates the worst scenario for the crew. Every time they think things get better; they get a hundred times worse.

Especially Usopp and Nami, who he knows are always the most scared to fight and the least experienced. Oda once said what role each of the Strawhats have in their makeshift family and he said Zoro is oldest son, and you can really see that here. He sees it as his job to protect them.

2024-07-05 16:56:16 +0000 UTCZoro in 119 is the definition of "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". He is scary. For me, sure, I guy you can't cut is scary, but the guy who continues to get up no matter how much you damage him is even more frightening

If you guys remember Demon Slayer, and recognize the word "kokyu", the word Zoro kept saying, they translated it as rhythm, but the word actually means 'breath' or breathing of inanimate objects, a kind of pseudo-animism. I love how they weave in these types of concepts into their stories. You'll be reading this a lot from me but; thank you for another great reaction

Still, for now, the idea is that if you control your skills and abilities so that a sharp sword won't cut even the paper, you'll be able to control it enough to cut even the steel.
