For example here, it’s not important at all, but it gives you more precious time with Ace 🥲 Also, please don’t skip the G-8 filler arc! It’s a fun mini arc and many fans loved it. I want to give more reasons why not to skip that arc, but I can’t without spoilers.

I know that most of Ace's content are fillers, as in the Manga he left the strawhats just before destroying the Baroques ships (last episode), so I felt like the birds were fillers as well. But I knew they met Lashes somehow so I looked it back in the manga and the birds are actually there D: Also the anime is spoiling itself. If I remember correctly, you shouldn't have met either Corsa, nor Peruh and Chaka at this point (in the manga) - so it's a bigger revelation that Corsa is the leader of the rebell army and that's why there are only silhouettes of Peruh and Chaka shown.
