only got to wait like 300 episodes to find out who he is

Valek zoro

i can't wait for you guys to know who that Gardener is :D

Zep Omnii

About the Barrel scene. In the LA they initially planned to do 10 episodes including loguetown for season one, but then when they looked the budget and start writing the show, make the choise to change it to 8 episodes without loguetown. The barrel scene is a great way to end the east blue saga and is a memorable moment for fans, so is really a great choise to move that scene earlier.

Raul

The thing is that this particular filler makes no sense in the World of One Piece, is so awful that even confused people.

Raul

Calling dragon a gardner is craaaazy😂

Zé.Coelho

You guys should consider watching the first minute of the execution of Gold Roger in the live action. You will recognize quite a few more people in the crowd now 😁

Bri

I feel like the 2nd saga is moreso 2000s, while the 3rd saga is very relevant rn :/

klairvoyance

It only gets better

cooc

Hayleechan!! Carissasan!!

CacoMetal

Time will come when you See why Buggy has the Most luck of all chars in one piece

Robin

Always looking forward to these! Let's enter the grand line!

Maxime B

Such a poetic scene with the barrel ceremy taking place under a storm, fitting for an entry to the grand line... the live action one also made a very positive ending, but these symbolistic ideas are the cherries on the top for me in one piece. Also agree on just going for the canon content; if you're listening to a piece of music or an album, I suppose one wouldn't go for a remix version before ever listened to the original. This is an odyssey and things happen at the right time, right place, for the right reason, just like in this episode. Anyway first grandline arc here we go!

Churchill Ngai

are my notifications buggy? 20 minutes ago isnt 20 hours ago

Cyrill Attakpah

Lovely reaction! On our way to the Grand Line…you will love it! For your reference, Luffy and Usopp are 17; Nami is 18; Zoro and Sanji are 19.

BashaM

Enjoyed your reactions very much, as always. And it's been a (very long) while, but I think Dragon's power seemed pretty obvious to me back then...

B.G.

This is what I call money well spent.

LUÍS FERNANDO GOIS LOBÃO

They hadn’t gotten the barrel scene yet where the strawhats state their dreams, so only with this episode have they gotten all those scenes from the live action.

Alec H

Literally the people telling yall to skip the fillers are more interested in you guys getting into the hype moments. If you want to enjoy your time on random adventures with the crew then you should watch some fillers, especially the early fillers because they're just bonding and goofing around which makes you love them more imo.

Nathaniel Catindig

Your reactions are so much fun. Can't wait for more :D

SomeoneElse

Based on your description, are you guys skipping fillers?

Eniahj

Everyone knows Buggy is the most flashiest chara… WHO SAID NOSE?! 🤣

Petting Cats

While people love the adventures of the strawhats, the lore/story/world building is absolutely the MAIN reason people stay to watch 1000 episodes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure some people would love 1000 episodes of fun pirate adventures, but most people wouldn’t stick around that long unless there was a genuinely compelling story and world to immerse themselves in. Just wait til you get to Water7/Enies Lobby. Before that, you have no idea how deep the darkness runs in the world of One Piece.

I’ll argue with anyone about anything

All hail Dragon.. Cant wait for the next big arc.. relates to irl issues so much right now.

Hiighbreed

the devil fruit gardener xDDD thats what im gonna call him from now on

Cyrill Attakpah

Buggy has a severe case of Main Character Syndrome xD

Jonathan Charles

nah, G-8 Filler was Fun!

Daniel

I understand after your explanation below why you think that but at no point has a limit/number of devil fruits been stated in the series. Oda has lots more weird fruits in store for you.

D Q

Smokers devil fruit is the first one we've seen thus far that is distinctly different from any of the others, it's also as you've seen pretty overpowered considering that physical attacks can just pass right through. It's like Buggy's power but without the weakness of the body still being grabbable. With the end of this arc you've officially finished the first major saga of the series, a tutorial of sorts. The next saga is going to ramp things up, so buckle your seatbelts.

Baker

I think you guys made that assumption based on seeing a scene in one of the early episodes where they had a bunch of devil fruits on the screen. I think it was when Captain Morgan was telling us about devil fruits.

Christopher LoBosco Jr.

I think you commented on the wrong video. They caught up already. Logue Town wasn’t part of the first season of the LA

D Q

Maybe they counted the fruits in that scene that had the fruits in a cross shape?

Ben Asay

They literally wrote in the description that they are skipping the filler. Which is smart cuz it's all terrible compared to canon arcs.

t3hfrankie1

OHH right right. Ok no comment LOL It's a valid headspace to have after being shown that. I don't wanna sway/shoot down any genuine ideas you two come up with this early, I love the brainstorming. You'll figure it out 👀

Sewer Lord

It was ep 3 when Cpt Morgan was explaining what they were. There was an image with 15 or so of them on there and so we came to the conclusion off camera that there were a finite number of them, lol so sorry. Throwing THAT out the window. 😂🙃

Haylo

Idk where y'all got the number from. I'm certain they never gave a number anywhere during your experience so far. The only recollection I have of any number being shown/stated to you both is when you watched "The Breathtaking World Of One Piece" because they vaguely showed quite a few near the end of the video.

Sewer Lord

Smoker is complex, it's impossible to simplify his motivations down to one thing.

Robbie Medica

I very much agree. If you genuinely enjoy your time with the Straw Hats, enjoy as much as you can. This is a pretty common split in the OP community, with some people just wanting the 'fluff' cut out so you can get to the 'good' bits. It's your voyage with the crew and you can only have your first time once!

Pepperoni Pony .

I'm not sure what your plans for filler are but I will actually go ahead and say to consider not skipping them. Here's why: You two seem to be loving this show a lot, and a lot of that seems to be the random adventures the Straw Hats go on. I'm only two or three arcs ahead of you so maybe things change, but this show feels more enjoyed by the adventure than deep lore plot specific type stuff. The filler you would hit after this ep (not sure if you skipped) is actually rather cute and fun, and that's been my opinion of all the filler I've seen thus far. Couldn't hurt trying the movies either, despite being non canon. In short don't dismiss the filler outright, you may have a good time.

Matthew Heffner

No worries on the mixed canon episodes. Those are pretty few and far between, for the most part, next one you have to worry about is 101. Part of the reason why the 54-61 filler is so bad (beyond its actual content) is that it's there standing in the way of us getting to the grand line after that monumental episode 53. Enjoy the next stage of the story. :)

Kitsune Inferno

Well with Smoker's Plume-Plume you know have a whole different kind of devil fruit from Luffy or Buggy's powers. They are pretty op. Just shows how wild devil fruit powers can be. Now onto the Grand Line, more adventures and fun awaits!

Hans Wurst

Finally caught up to the Live Action! 💯

Delamain

Btw sweatdrops in anime don't always mean nervousness, sometimes it's like sheepish (no pun intended) first-hand or second-hand embarassment or confusion. The Merry is definitely looking at Mohji and his Ritchie Bike with a kind of side-eye to their embarassing song and display.

hurryupmode

Usopp: "Dang, slow down Nami! This is super heavy to carry, what's the rush anyway?" Nami: "The Going Merry is in danger!" Usopp: **Starts BOOKING IT like Usain Bolt and overtakes Nami while holding the massive Elephant Bluefin Tuna**

hurryupmode

You can see why Smoker was posted here, at the entrance to the grand line and the town most likely to attract pirates looking to enter it. The main is overpowered as heck and also, for once, a good marine, as Coby has wanted to be. Super excited for y'all to experience the grand line soon, it makes for some super cool and fun adventures!

fr0st

RIGHT? I feel like it felt longer on my watch but it just went by so quick this time

fr0st

What were we thinking of with the numbered Devil Fruit thing?? Did we pull that out of thin air? 😂

Haylo

destiny dragon sounds cool...

Immortal812sand

Oh my bad. I thought it was written 8 minute 55 "second" of 61 - I can't read correctly one sentence. All is good then

Lightwave

Not a spoiler, but they never specified how many devil fruits there are in the world :) Love the reactions, can't wait for more!

Hassan Allawala

Do you know how long it took us to hold it in and not tell you that was Alvida the whole time lol you were KILLING me every episode

OctaviusLee

They explain it in the anime— ep 55, which they said they watched part of. You don’t need to read the manga for it.

I’ll argue with anyone about anything

way more than 13 devil fruits. like wayyyyyyy more

Jacob

Careful. While the last 8 minutes of episode 61 are important, you ALSO need to read the beginning of chapter 101 (which is the chapter that link episode 53 and 61 to understand why people can't enter the grandline at will.

Lightwave

Agreed. Even NOT knowing something can still be a spoiler.

Flansy

There are a LOT more than 13 devil fruits. I don’t think the number has ever been stated.

I’ll argue with anyone about anything

maybe we shouldnt say what we know or dont know yet

mioh

Per the description it seems you saw the 55 and 61 episodes' canon information. It told us geographic and ecological information about the grandline, boxed in on each side by the Calm Belt, where the Sea Kings nest and where there's no current, no wind, just flat water and heat, so you're stuck until there's a strong enough breeze to move a ship, but you're more likely to get munched up by a Sea King. Pretty much the relevant information you needed to know as to why they can't just sail out of the grandline whenever they want. Once they're in, they're locked in. You've now completed the Prologue/Tutorial Zone of the massive open world role playing game known as One Piece! The past 53 episodes (plus the info from 55+61) gave you the tools in your belt to start to tackle the chaos that is to come in the following Arcs that make up the next Saga.

You guys are really good at guessing what's going on! Honestly, I've been genuinely impressed by all the predictions you guys have made, like with Smoker's devil fruit and the Alvida reveal. Also, I'm 26 and I've been a One Piece fan for literally more than half my life. I have to say your reactions to this show have been awesome. You guys really understand the show on a level that some people don't, and that makes me happy! I've really been enjoying the reactions and I can't wait to see more!

Molto_Benny

Wow I didn't remember Logue Town being so short

Salman '96

Luffy is 17, marriage age is 16 in Japan, so go for it Alvida. Youse should’ve guessed it was her since she was the one that joined Buggy on the live action. We imagine that the guy with face tattoos caused the storm and the lighting, but we still don’t know for sure after 1k episodes 😞

Green Hog

17 but yeah.

J.D.Wall

Austin Roberts

While I'm sad to hear that you'll be skipping filler episodes, I realize it's not possible to please everyone. Running a reaction channel requires making tough decisions, so I'm grateful that you were at least willing to hear everyone out. I'll continue to support you either way, but I hope you'll be open to making some case-by-case exceptions in the future (as One Piece truly does have great filler episodes and movies). Anyways, welcome to the Grand Line!!

Merfhew

It only gets better from here. Glad to be part of the sisters OP adventures too

Green Hog

Yes!! Now I can watch this after dinner 😁😁

A.E Gearic

BTW episodes 54-61 are filler so feel free to skip those!

Mike B

Thanks !

Highlight of my day right here!
