Or at least don't never watch them, I know it's technically filler, but it was actually supposed to basically be the first one piece movie and was later repurposed into the anime, but it does a good job feeling like the essence of one piece. One Piece isn't about the destination, it's about the journey, and it's a plenty fun time. There's good laughs and fun times to be had during these episodes so if you decide to skip it for now, I would really recommend going back at some point. Or maybe watch it for yourselves later.

Also also, I want to add, for all your Dragon questions, keep an eye out for Garp. Heโs an old man whoโs seen a lot.

I donโt think they have given an exact number of devil fruits, but itโs at least in the hundreds. Just keep Dragon in the back of your mind. Like a lot of stuff in One Piece the pay off can take a while.

So watch 61 in Private. and then continue to upload 62 for the next One Piece upload.

It's very nice to hear your thoughts, theories, and feelings about the episode you've just watched. It definitely adds to the experience. Very good call on identifying Alvida so early. She looks quite a bit different without her freckles, but a closer look reveals that her hat, club, and perfect figure have remained relatively unchanged! As of now and to my knowledge, we have not been given a specific number of devil fruits. I think Captain Smoker grew up respecting Gold Roger for his conduct on the platform. I like to imagine his reason for becoming a marine was to enforce his ideals on what a pirate should be like. After seeing someone as impressive as Gold Roger, it makes sense to be jaded with posers and common miscreants. When he sees that Luffy laughed at death in the same manner as Gold Roger, he felt even more motivated to test him. Let's talk about Luffy! I like his attitude about dying. There's a quote from Luffy in one of the first few episodes that is generally translated to something like "If I die trying, at least I tried." Luffy laughs at death because he has lived a life worth living and doesn't regret any of his choices. If the result of all his actions in life have brought him here to die, then it was still his choice and worth it all the while. Though we haven't seen it much in the anime, many of the important characters in One Piece have a sort of signature laugh. Luffy's is "shishishi". 'Shi' (pronounced 'shee') sounds like the Japanese character meaning 'death'. When he laughs, he is somewhat literally laughing at death. (In the Live Action, we even hear Arlong give his own weird signature laugh: "Shahahaha") I'm glad you decided to skip the filler. I think its very appropriate here, given that the filler kinda kills the momentum that the Straw Hats have from their escape from Loguetown.

Of course, my advice is to just watch everything instead of trying to navigate the timestamps and vague online guides. This first "filler" arc isn't one of my favorites, so I won't be too sad if they decide to skip it, but there are a lot of great "filler" episodes later.

Congratulations girls, now you officially finished the East Blue Saga.

Arc one is over so on to the next one, entering the grand line. Assuming you skip the fillers. The story is going to pick up even more from here. Also yes the cast off ceremony was rushed on the live action but I still liked it though.
