Bruh, I watched the openings the first time I watched One Piece, most of it didn't spoil. YOU know what and who the characters are, but for someone new, it wouldn't mean anything. I even think that the notion of the episode title being spoiler to be a bit of a stretch.

Gotta love that first encounter of Luffy with Smoker, and then encounter with Buggy xD Once again, don't hesitate to pause the vid to talk through events or take notes! Maybe just don't overdo it to not lose momentum of fun :)

2024-03-28 15:15:27 +0000 UTCYou'll want to be careful with openings, they do contain spoilers of new characters and upcoming fights, even though they absolutely slap. I'd recommend you watch them at the end of every plot-period that they cover right before the opening changes to a new one. You can google which ones those are as you go along ~ You're so smart for picking up on taking notes, there's an ungodly amount of short scenes with information that becomes important beyond episode 1000. There's another huge content creator, Jackthebus, who made a One Piece wall where he pins sticky notes to his wall of seemingly important information and uses strings to connect things as he goes along. Might be something you're interested in doing also since you're this invested. This is also where I swap from watching your edited versions to the full versions, I'm so excited to rewatch this all over again. You two have the perfect mindset for One Piece. This is going to be the one piece (haha) of media that crushes every fiber of your heart & soul just to rebuild it. I genuinely have trauma from this shit that I randomly cry watching old moments and I love every second of it. Oda even stated he's pursuing an Emmy or an Academy award with One Piece.

I don't know if there are any 'offical' english translations, but in German we got some nice names for the ranks, which is way better understandable.
