The soldier that asked Blithe if he was okay after the battle was not the chaplain. Chaplains don't carry weapons, still to this day. They are also all officers. That was a young enlisted infantryman assigned to the 2nd Armored Division, which is the tank unit that showed up at the end of the fight. The patch on his left shoulder was the 2nd AD patch. You do get a purple heart for each incident in which you are wounded, but not for each individual wound if they occur in the same engagement. So if, for example you were in Iraq and hit an IED and ended up with a TBI and two shrapnel wounds, that would be one purple heart. If you were to be hit lightly enough that you could stay in-country and return to your unit after a couple weeks and were hit again, you get another one.

I love how you giggle when she starts crying about the music when it's suppose to be a happy scene hahaha, love the vibes the girl on the right gives off

I have never laughed multiple times during a reaction to Band of Brothers, but her assumptions make me giggle at her innocence. "Oh, he's going to go apologize to the guy he shot...."

Tipper, the soldier about whom you said “I don’t think he can survive that.” He survived his wounds, married late in life and had a daughter who is the Deputy City Attorney of Denver and was a Colorado legislator. You see her briefly in “We Stand Alone Together” the bonus episode featuring interviews with many of the surviving Easy Company veterans.

The surviving soldiers all believed Blythe was dead. No such thing as Google yet…Ha. The soldiers claimed he was dead so that is what was written.

Just an FYI but Albert Blithe did not pass away from his injuries but the book it was based on got this incorrectly... He ended up surviving and living until 1968 and fought in the korean war!

In this episode you asked if the wounds that the on soldier in the shop that was blown up were survivable, they were. My grandfather was in France in WW2 and was shelled by the Germans and he lost his left eye and had severe shrapnel wounds all over his body and in his foot and leg.

Quick side note: I just finished binging the demon slayer series and wanted to let you know that 1. I LOVED it and can't wait for the next season and 2. That there's a short 8 episode series on Netflix called Blue Eye Samurai that SO GOOD and gives demon slayer vibes in a way. Strong female lead with lovable side characters. Just a suggestion to add to the list - something short and sweet!

Blithe did not die in 1948. "Blithe was portrayed in the popular HBO series Band of Brothers. In the end screen of episode 3 "Carentan", Blithe is said to be "never recovered from the wounds he received in Normandy." and would claim that he later died in 1948. This was a false death claim as none of the other veterans from Easy Company found out what happened to him, and believed he died in 1948 from his wound. Stephen Ambrose, who collected the veteran's memories, regarded this as factual information, and wrote that in his book "Band of Brothers, E Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne: From Normandy to Hitler's Eagle's Nest (1992)". The Blithe family later refuted this which led to corrections in the subsequent editions of that same book. The movie, resultant DVDs or Blu-Ray discs would not have such changes, and would still present the false death claim". He died in 1967 from a perforated ulcer. If you want to know more I recommend you google Albert Blithe and the information is available for anyone to read.
