2025-02-25 08:23:32 +0000 UTChahahaha i just saw this, and i think it's fine that they got "scared" to pay attention and take notes as a disclaimer, and they STILL chose to go with the show and didn't back away. I think that just adds more transparency to the show that it's very deep and convoluted and to pay attention and "double check/rewind" if you need to, and "take notes"... it's not about an exam but because now they know that this show is a different style of viewing of its own, and i'd rather they know this ahead of time and then willingly sign up for the emotional drama with high highs and low lows of this show, than to be caught off guard by it or worse: not pay attention to it and then later on not realize why something is said, or why something has an impact.... I can think of a certain reactor channel that definitely missed the mark on that, almost like nightly and day :) and then they didnt enjoy the show, we didnt enjoy the reaction, and things just became a mess because those people were not the type to enjoy a slow burn towards a reward revealed later. whereas Kiss and halo definitely seem like the type to pay attention to details and appreciate the little things and they just straight up are loved by their community and work with them. So I wouldnt worry about them, they got this :D

2023-12-13 21:55:26 +0000 UTC"Eren was a force of nature, an avenging spirit and would do anything to protect her" I gotta say, I love that you both are paying attention to the personalities and "Core values/ideals/dogmas" of each character so far, including tiny details like "oh so thats why jean said she looked different, she's the last asian in the walls, like she's literally a different race/nationality/culture from those "asia people" before they were all stuck behind the walls. It's uncanny how the characters themselves talk about these things with such third person disconnect from their history, so many of them haven't seen life outside the world and dont know what to even think of that world.. like armin dreaming about seeing this "sea" thing and lands of fire and snow (which we take for granted in our own world). Keep up the focus on the character driving factors and how they interact with other characters. Some are easy to immediately spot , some are rooted deep (like the eren thing u said above and mikasa hugging that scarf because it's her tied her to eren) and some are red herrings or false facades or just defense walls. For example how Ymir acts nice to sasha to owe her a favor or jean acting tough on the outside but he's freaking out on the inside. etc.
