"Worst In The East"

SO many happy tears 😂😭 We were not ready for this to end! This was such an unexpected gem. Please let us know how you think we should handle the anime in the future!
Full Length will be up in a bit!!

Thanks so much for being here on Patreon for this journey with us 🏴‍☠️
We both decided to go with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for our follow up series! As highly recommended as The Boys is, we just aren't feeling that type of show currently. My (Haylo) fault for adding it to the poll this go round, but we'll still likely get to it in the future. Kiss will be graduated in a couple weeks and we'll pick up another live action for a 3rd series right away. Thanks all! Much love!😄

Incorrect. Arlong's bounty was only 20 million despite being the highest in the East Blue. His bribes not only went to keeping the marines off his back, but also to keeping his bounty as low as possible, which (given his terrifying accomplishments) shows how much of a big deal he is.

Corsair

just a clarification but buggy's bounty was 15 million, arlong's was 25 million and luffy's first is 30 million.

There is a fish that shoots water, it's called an archer fish. It doesn't shoot bullets of water like in the show, but it does shoot water

MattF315

These reactions have been awesome to watch! You are going to love the anime - it seems like a huge binging task at the beginning but as you may have guessed, you will not be able to just stop at the end of arlong park 😂 Cant wait for the anime reactions!

rina.

I would recommend not waiting for the LA seasons and to watch the anime parallel, it'll take a decade or more most likely. The anime has a little more time to flesh out the characters and you would love it I think. i'm definitely gonna subscribe as soon as you watch it, I enjoyed your reactions a lot!😊

Fujitora

Oh and if you watch the anime, just google One Piece fillers and avoid the ones that are filler (they're stories that are literally never mentioned again and just a bit of extra wacky fun).

fr0st

Yeah, the current LA is about 45 episodes. It moves much slower and has a lot more reaction shots and stuff, but definitely fun to react to if you want to get a sense of what's different in each

fr0st

Not a popular post opinion but I’ve watched Like 600 episodes and just wanted to warn you it moves much slower in certain arcs, and the fights are kinda drawn out and it has flashback constantly. A very good show but definitey pretty different than the live action so just be ready for that

Andrew Lynch

If there are shrimp that are basically Dragon Ball characters then I'm sure there's a fish that can shoot water at high pressure.

FluidDruid

Officially apart of the strawhat crew now, obviously since youve got yourselves strawhats (: Please be warned some people like to troll and post spoilers just for the sake of posting spoilers especially in comments so be careful reading them going forward especially if youre posting on youtube. i wish i was watching one piece for the first time again but i look forward to seeing your reactions.

Afuelos

Seeing how much both of you are in love with the Straw Hats, side characters and the story of One Pieces, I am pretty certain that you both will love the Anime (Series and Movies) and the Manga. Having experience each version, I would say that the best way to enjoy the story is through the Manga first, then the Anime, and finally the Live Action. I understand how it may be overwhelming to see that there are more than 1000 chapters/eps of the manga/anime, and one may prefer to binge it, but as someone who has been following the story for over 15 years, I'd have to say One Piece is really best to be followed a little slower than that. It would give you time to really understand each arc and character better. PS: Welcome to the Straw Hat Crew.. 🏴‍☠️

xplorick

One piece is literally the best written piece of fiction I've ever seen. If you thought these arcs were emotional you really haven't seen anything. You gotta watch it

Tom Ellis

anime is 1000+ episodes gonna have to do some big binging lol but I look forward to it!

j m

Another bonus if you decide to do the anime is the Japanese voice actors are EXTREMELY talented. They should be protected at all cost. Eiichiro ODA and Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy's VA) literally crowned iñaki Godoy with a straw hat on separate occasions. Look it up on the youtubes

forestmarmot

Bruh I guess I’m subbed for the next decade🕺🏼

DooZy

Now that is one of the greatest names.

PKS

I would love to follow you two watch the anime! There have been other reactors who said they would watch up to where the live action and then when they got there changed their minds and kept going. I think you should decide when you get caught up to the live action and then make a decision. 😊

Casey

I would say try out the anime and once you get through the stuff you know, decide then if you want to continue :)

A1stWorldProblm

YESS ADD OP TO THE POLLS! :D If it does win, dont watch One Pace, it ruins the nuance & pacing - stick w/ the original anime.

Goon

Just watch the anime, skip the fillers (not all), and don't stop till episode 1100 and something :) It's easy

Markbard

😭❤️ Thank you so much!

Haylo

I've followed One Piece since the early 00s and I've never come across a more whole hearted reaction duo ^^ Even if you two haven't seen any of the anime or read the manga, I'd proudly dub you to true OP fans! Because of your genuine reactions of this fantastic live action adaptation ^^ I just know you'll love the anime so please react to it however you like to part it up :)

CaptainMaakasu

MAJOR props to that editor! That's amazing 😯

Haylo

I really have nothing to say that hasn't been said already. Except this was one hell of a ride. THANK YOU!!

A2Z

The after credits is more like a hint for the anime watchers.

ZeDominion

“You are a bunny” 😂

KevUrb

If you watch the anime then You going to love the doctor of the strawhat crew!😂

Jokie manda

Just letting you know, the anime isn't going to go one to one, scene-wise with the live action. OPLA uses information we don't get until episode 53, 68, episode 312, and 500 something, to inform the performances of certain characters, expanding the roles of some of them to be more prominent, and lessen or remove others. The live action could be said to cover events up to parts of episode 45. However, I don't think you should start the One Piece anime unless you're ready to finish the East Blue Saga, which still has one more arc left after Arlong Park, 46-53. Also, don't let anyone try and convince you to watch One "Pace" (a fan-made edit of the anime that tries to match the manga frames 1 for 1). It isn't even worth considering as an option until the 600-900s. Early on, we need to develop an emotional connection with our characters, not just Strawhats, and One Pace kind of ruins that.

hurryupmode

You should definitely watch the anime, but you should start from the beginning. Yes, you will know what you know from the live action but….the story in the anime is different than how the live action went about it. Excited to see you start that journey!

Nate

I think you should definitely check out the anime, this is a great adaptation but the anime has so much more to it that I think you guys would appreciate.

Simba Wazara

oh shit you both got hats, we are doing Anime then? Let us know how you will be watching, so I and others might also start in same manner.

PKS

If you decide to watch the anime without ruining the next season of live action, don't watch past ep 47, The next live action season is going to cover more episodes so next season should cover like the next 80 eps after 47 so up to 135. If you start watching the anime you might find it hard to just stop lol, so be prepared for that.

Jamie Fraser

Afaik the castoff ceremony flashback wasnt planned. An VideoEditor edited this in while they did go over it and ofc it was liked the way it is now :D Thanks for all your reactions, really love your chemistry and thoughts :)

Speziald

I'm glad the live action got you both more interested in the One piece anime or the show in general. I'm personally aboard if you watch the anime regardless. No matter what format. The live action had some changes made to it. And it's more condensed. The anime goes into more detail about the arcs. And their a bit longer. Great reaction this was a fun ride!

Kage

I think it's a great idea to do the anime only as far as the live action. It would be about 44 or 45 episodes to end around where the live action stops.

Steven C

This show covers about 45-50 episodes of the anime :) Was also my plan to start with the anime until I caught up with the live action, but once there I could not stop myself from watching on 😅 Can't wait for your cyberpunk reactions 😁
