2023-11-13 19:07:30 +0000 UTCIf you rewatch Tanjiro’s inherited memories it becomes pretty clear that Tanjiro isn’t related to Yoriichi. His ancestors often refer to him as ‘that samurai’; you don’t talk about family that way. Also Yoriichi says he feels bad about visiting. Family wouldn’t feel bad about visiting. Hair colour and eye colour mean nothing in this series. Only the mist hashira is confirmed to be related, and because Yoriichi had no heirs he isn’t even a direct descendant. They’re more context clues than anything; that I imagine is clearer on a rewatch. It was easier to put the pieces together when reading the manga.
