Agreed. The saying "as intended" seems fitting here. Can't touch Gon's VA in HunterXHunter, Hinata in Haikyuu, or Tanjiro here for example. Castlevania on Netflix, a western animation studio? The VA's are so freaking good in English.

I also feel that with most if not all of Anime, subbed just fits the vibe and presentation far better. If I ever happen to hear dubbed while watching Anime it feels so out of place. I think a lot of us would simply call it acquired taste, but I suppose to each they own.
