Andy finally fell on the bed of the new house he bought recently, it’s been two days since the last time he was here, and he couldn’t be happier, Tyshae loved the song he made and they spent most of the time working on that song, there was some chemistry between him and the veteran artist and he was worried that the chemistry would go beyond the studio, she even followed him on Instagram.

He was incredibly happy about what just happened, but he had to keep going, it was time to focus and continue building his career, he already planted the first seed for him to get a job on Tyshae’s label but the most important thing was that he managed to get paid for his work.

Even if the man in charge of the project, the guy named Paul was so bitter towards him that it made Andy feel completely uncomfortable because that man was thinking of an eighteen-year-old man as a threat and the worst thing was that the guy was the brother of the current chairman of the label, it didn’t make sense that he saw him as a threat.

“I need to investigate that guy, I already got in trouble with a man like him, I need to get ready in case he tries something against me,” Andy said with a low tone.

He was surprised to see the achievements of the older man, it seems like he has been involved in the music scene, he was a DJ when he was young and he has produced music for multiple artists of different genres, he has won Grammys too and he has made music with very successful artists, most of the songs he worked on have topped the charts, he clearly knew what he was doing.

“Well, well, it seems like this man here is a complete hitmaker and yet, he was scared of me, I need to be careful…One wrong move and he can blacklist me from the industry,” Andy couldn’t help but gulp at the thought of that.

Andy tried to find out more about his life, but there was nothing wrong, no scandals no controversies, however, something that surprised him was that most of the women he used to date now are bigger than him and it seemed like the moment they started to blow up in popularity they got rid of him.

“It could be that…Nah I don’t think so…I don’t think he could be jealous because of the attention Tyshae was giving to me, could it be that he's in love with her?” Andy asked himself with a curious tone.

He thought that his theory made sense, however, he realized he was just speculating and that wasn’t a good idea, he was so immersed in his thoughts until he heard his phone ringing, it was Tyshae.

“Hey Ty, how are you feeling today?” He asked and soon he felt dumb because he saw her less than two hours ago when they were still working.

“Good good, thank you for asking,” she said in a nervous tone.

“Hey Ty, is everything okay? Not that I’m complaining but we just talked a few hours ago,” Andy was trying to get some answers.

“Yeah yeah…Well, to be honest, no Andy…Not everything’s okay and I feel like it’s my fault,” the older woman said before sighing.

“Is there something wrong with the music I made because I can correct it—” Andy was about to apologize but he was quickly stopped by the older woman.

“No…Everything’s okay Andy with you, I have zero complaints about the work you made, the instrumental was amazing but…I want to apologize for Paul’s behavior, I don’t know why he became so mad but he was surely acting weird,” the dark-skinned woman was too ashamed.

“Ty, relax, it’s okay, I know how this industry works, the top dogs don’t want to let anyone close to their bones, he’s not the first person that has been threatened by my music, my parents were scared too,” Andy said before chuckling.

“Are you sure about it because I can ask him to apologize—” Now it was time for Andy to stop her.

“No no, it’s fine like this, don’t worry, I don’t want to get someone like him angry…It seems like his family is really influential in the music world,” Andy was a little worried about offending someone with such a big ego, he knew he was playing with fire and he was hoping this wouldn’t backfire on him in the future.

“Ah…Don’t worry about it he may look a little scary but he’s not a bad guy trust me,” Andy heard those words and he couldn’t help but get angry, it reminded him of those dog owners who have dangerous dogs but they're unable to see them as a threat to the world.

“Uh…Are you two guys…Dating?” Andy asked with a worried expression.

“Not anymore,” Andy was surprised by those words, the man was at least ten years older than she was but of course, she was already an adult, she knew what she was doing, or at least he was hoping she did.

“Really?” He couldn’t believe it.

“Yes, we used to date when I was starting my career but the relationship didn’t last for too long,” the older woman said before sighing. “Oh, and don’t worry about the reason for our breakup, it’s actually quite simple…We wanted different things in life, he wanted me to quit music as he didn't see potential in me,” the woman felt like a weight had been released from her shoulders by telling Andy this.

“Well, now it makes sense why he was so butthurt about me being there…I don’t know why he feels so threatened, do I come to you as some kind of jerk?” Asked Andy with a fake concerned tone.

The man actually had reasons to be worried about him in case he wanted to get back with Tyshae, but of course, he wasn’t going to tell the older woman that the reason why she suddenly became too interested in him was because of his powers.

“No, not at all…He's just bitter that he was forced to work on my album, he probably only likes himself, that’s the way he has been since I met him, he’s always paranoid about losing his job even though his brother is the current chairman, so, there’s no need for him to worry about his life and yet, he does,” the older woman couldn’t help but sigh.

“Do you still love him?” Asked Andy with a curious smirk.

He needed Tyshae and if needs her to isolate herself from Paul and the rest of the production team, he was going to do it because this was more important than anything else, she was his ticket to getting closer to achieving his dreams, Andy only wanted to succeed, he didn't care about the rest.

“Not anymore…I, I felt bad for him to be honest,” she confessed and the younger man nodded. “It was so sad to see him behaving like that and even though you’re an adult already I didn’t want you to think that it’s your fault or something,” Tyshae was worried about Andy.

“You’re a good person Ty, you know that, right?” He asked with a loving tone. “Relax, I already got over it, trust me, whatever happened during these days is nothing compared to Matthews shitshow, I must admit that it was fun but it was harsh at the same time, your ex-boyfriend is not as scary as them, trust me,” Andy couldn’t help but giggle.

“Still, I want to make it up to you…Would you like to go out with me?” Asked the dark-skinned woman.

Andy couldn’t help but feel surprised, this was going too far, this felt like an invitation for a date.
